    is this method of melting the whole connector better that using a heat gun??

      yes the heat may case damaged to the other parts

      filter is a 0 ohm

      @@SOSfixElectronics had a chance check with a working iPad 7th, and my measure is 8.2kohm actually, and top side gnd so dont make sense if 0 ohm to gnd

      @@yoho2chn the filter is 0 ohm. the filter works as a fuse, so maybe you have shorted the the ground or the component you tested is not a filter, capacitor or resistor

      @@yoho2chn that 'filter' needs to have 8.2/8.5 KoHm to 'feed' the FPC, however, in my case the issue was the touch ic.
      (Before i understand that was the touch ic, i replaced (the so called 'filter') with a 0 ohm and created a short to ground).
      touch ic was reballed and the 'filter' was swapped for the one that was already there. it's working like a charm :)

      The component replaced is not a filter, it is a capacitor, look at the boardview in ZXW and you will see that one pad of that component goes to GND, so don't put a filter there unless you want to create a short.
