Loved Geoff Edwards as host. He really seems to be having a good time with the contestants and the arcade games. RIP Geoff Edwards, thanks for the Saturday morning memories.
I think they should let the contestants! Piick one of the games! They're playing, to take home! I would have picked Popeye! Wouldn't want no stupid robot, just saying!
That game the right kid is playing at the beginning is called Journey. It is one of the rarest cabs ever made. They were so rare that there may not be anymore in the world left and that's a shame. Sorry, I'm a collector and even though this was just a bit before my time I still love it. Addendum- I started gaming back in 1986 with the Nes and Master System. I got into the arcade scene pretty hard in late 1989. What a freaking rip off! They're not playing for an arcade cab?! If I finally got a chance to compete in this show I would be visibly pissed at there not being a new cab up for grabs. Yes, the robot is neat and stupidly expensive ($2,200 in 1983) and you can still buy them today but screw that.

WILL PLAY IT TOMORROW AFTER MOBILE CLASSROOM GOOD NIGHT.
I would have HATED it if I finally got on the show and the grand prize was a robot, while other players were going home with a Tron cabinet.

There is a journey cabinet at the galloping ghost arcade just outside of Chicago. I played it a few months ago.

Sweet! It's nice to know there is at least one working cab out there.
