I own the same car in the same color in the same year, putting things in the trunk breaks the motors (42 mechanical parts) moving the top down. Pricey !!!
Good catch! He broke the darn thing! Definitely gotta keep the moving parts lubed. Dang I'll bet the top would be a nightmare to repair if someone rear ended the vehicle.
I own a 2009 g37 convertible. I’m having issues with top not opening so hydraulic is failing. Anyone had issues and where to take the repairs? Dealership charges way too much
There are known problems with the convertible tops but normally it has to do with the gap between the tonneau and the top of the roof when it is stowed in the trunk...as these get older, you'll see other problems pop up, but these have proven very reliable compared to their peers
There are so many cheap G37's these days, it's crazy...they're solid even with high miles and you're seeing so many of them over 100k now and under 10 grand they are such a bargain
Freddy Medina 60k on the odometer isn't bad. Price depends on the year. Take a close look at the brakes as they are pricey to repair. Engines in these are very good. Suspension is tight and rides a bit rough.
They are amazing cars and particularly amazing for the price. Sorry to hear your car was totalled, that stinks. I had a triple black convertible and still love that color combo...if I was getting another one, that's what I'd get.
When I was roadster shopping I was adamant to avoid motor-driven roofs. Notorious problems. What do you expect from a multi-hinged cantelevered device? . I bought a Pontiac Solstice instead. Loving it.
Did anyone else notice that the Top did not close all the way??
Yep, that's potentially a pricey repair.
It's because he put the container with the manuals etc in the trunk space that the top goes into. Not a smart move before putting the top down.

Imtiaz Amin would you suggest buying one, of course out of warranty? I hear the repair on the convertible can be pricey after warranty is up.

"You can just put the books anywhere you please"
Lol, that anywhere he pleased to put it just broke the convertible top on video.
Nice
hahahaha
Notice he doesn't mention the space rear of the "handy divider" in the trunk is all the trunk you can use if you plan on putting the top down.
Any issues with the tops on these G37s? I've had convertibles before and there are always top issues.

Surprisingly few reports. But there have been a few issues. Problem is when the top is down there is ZERO trunk space.

I've been thinking about buying a used G37. I checked consumer reports and they are above average on reliability. Not a Toyota however.

BTW; there are a fair number of reports of rattles and squeaks on the convertible top, both up and down.
I didn't have an issue with mine. If any one no of someone saling one i want it

Jeff bezos side hustle
this is hilarious 😂😂😂😂
What's this about them being under $10k??

That trunk lid didn't quite line up
Are these a smart buy with 60K + miles on the odometer?
the vq is a pretty stout motor...easily pass 150k

I love this car. I had a 2013 G37 hardtop Convertable. someone told it 2 days after my birthday, July5, 2020. :( I am looking to purchase another one

Got a 2011 15,000
Convertibles are smarter than motorcycles because you can drive them longer during the year duh😆
Nice car, wish they offered a 3 l twin turbo in that baby
Beautiful car ❤
They really are cool, but you just don't see them all that often.
بكام دي سعر يا فندم
I have a 09 vert bout 65k miles that VQ engine is hard 2 beat.
Great car and future collectible!

My thoughts exactly. While they are beautiful cars, I can only imagine the number of things that could go wrong as they age.
Very nice car, am in need of one!
It's a faster and nicer driving car than most new convertibles under 50 grand
До конца не сложилась, въебаная тачка!
Why did you have to keep your finger on the button to open the top? Lexus you just push the button once!
So you can stop it in case something's in the way.
Same as BMW
Just bought one for 3k 😁
Bruh how many miles
