The victory of Prithudev, the Bengali Hindu King of Pragyotish (former name of Assam before it was occupied by the Ahoms) against Baktier Khilji is more important. Lachit Barfukan was a Chinese who defeated the Rajput commander Ram Singh of the Mughal army. How can that glorify India????

Being born near the Ghats of Brahamputra and spending childhood near Brahmaputra, I used to visit Sukreshwartemple with my dad to imagine what happened on the day of battle since I read about it in one Assamese poem in my school. Really proud to have been born where the battle took place. Thank you History channel for making this documentary as our own national media never talked about it and instead ignore it

My heart beats for Lachit barfukan, proud to be from ahoms Assam, jai aii asom.
Ahoms were very able rulers and had a great run throughout their reigning period but Lachit was not an Ahom. He was of Moran ethnicity. Do some proper research, you'll know.
@@AdMBandLeader The Ahoms and Moran can claim Lachit borphukan as much they want to but the truth is he came from a family belonging to our Sutiya Tribe. After Ahoms captured our Sutiya Kingdom, many Sutiyas worked for Ahoms. We are the actual true indigenous people of Assam, our dynasty ruled for 400 years, until ahoms came and invaded us. Other communities were nothing infront of us. Joi Ma Sadhani🙏

Beautiful attempt. It is a good documentary that reflects a great legendary character like Lachit Barphukan. However, since the documentary also reflects the socio-economic culture of Assam at the time, a more detailed and thorough study was required during the production of the documentary. I think it was necessary to take more seriously the aspects of the royal assembly, dress code, etc.

He never introduced himself as a Proud Bharatiya, he called himself a proud Ahom, it's territory which is known as Bor-axom, which he try to protect from imperial/colonial Pen Indian mughal Force... His character become more mainstreaming in Pen Indian context after India got independence in 1947 August and Assam as a indispensable State of the Union of India
Lachit is our beloved warrior general (Borphukanlung). Also Ahoms had warriors earlier like : General Naobaicha, General Phrasungmung, General Tonkham borpatra gohain who stopped the first Muslim invasion along with Nang Mula (Mula Gabhoru). Invader Turbuk Khans head was chopped and was presented to Ahom king by Tonkham borpatra gohain. My dear Ahoms plz dont forget all this warriors❤.
