Still remember how I was proud of him with each passing day when I didn't get to speak to him because I knew what he was doing. Again feel very proud to watch this documentary.

Yes dear after watching this I remember about those ungrateful's who were trying to portrait that they were in some sort of vacation which got disrupted due to India. Namak haram is the correct words for those. We all got to know what strategy these Ukrainian medical student were doing like some want to entry Europe through it and God knows what more. Government had the responsibility to save them but Government is not responsible for what happened it's there own fult to ignore any advisory. And govt save there live otherwise they would have dead body on Ukrainian land.

Still, I am dismayed at Modi's (and the BJP) lackluster support for Ukraine -- keeping relations with Russia because of it being a supplier of war kit despite the obvious fact that Russia prefers China's support is, to say the least, not very smart geopolitcally. @@Asehpe make a judgment about that one needs to know the history between and of all possible countries involved. Now, if the argument is that the Ukraine war should have bigger relevance for a neutral country than the long term safety of its own citizens, think that is expecting a bit much. India is not a vassal state of Europe. Also, the cultivated misconception that India has, ‘ sided, ‘ with Russia, because it is a military supplier to India. India get its arms from the US , France, and a few other European countries as well. Funnily what everyone misses is that no European country has refused arms sales to India, in spite of criticizing it for its ties to Russia. So I guess a lot depends not on principle, but on which direction the moneys flowing. Then there is that whole question of criticizing India far is oil imports, while European countries were doing the same, and from the exact same country .For many in the world that’s called hypocrisy. Having said that India has always been empathetic to loss of life, anywhere, under any circumstances and provided a lot of humanitarian aid in times of crisis, including to Ukraine. In fact, even to countries who have historically wished bad for India or go back to wishing bad for India immediately after the aid is handed over. That is part of the Indian fabric. But I think other countries should also be aware that life-changing and important wars and events happened in non-European countries as well, and the lives of those citizens are not dispensable. And also the trade hypocrisy and voting record of European countries in these conflicts, some thing that is been spoken of so much in the Ukraine war. It’s not a pretty picture. Non-European lives do not have less value than European lives. As is never explicitly, said, but often implied. An attitude that Europeans need to decondition themselves from in the New World

    • @pranav5102
      @pranav5102 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

      @@Asehpe Few things here -
      1. The relations with russia go much beyond it being the supplier of weapons and oil. Russia ( then USSR ) stood for us in 1971 when the western nations supported Pakistan. In the recent past - US used to supply weapons to Pakistan for war on terror in Afghanistan inspite of having the knowledge that Pakistan diverted those same weapons against India.
      2. "Russia prefers China's support" - Russia's relationship with China and its relationship with India stands on different pedestals. Its alligned with China against the west - does not necessarily means it is against India. To give you an example - Russia invited India to Shanghai Coop Org ( SCO ) - fearing China's dominance of the group
      3. Just because we are trading with Russia - does not mean we are supporting war. PM's comments that " This is not an era of war" to Putin is a testament to the fact
      3. National interest take priority above everything. We cant let our people suffer due to a war that is not ours.

Sumi's part was really intimidating, I was one of those students who were stranded in Sumy without electricity, water and food. We were suffering an emotional burn out there! But all credit goes to the local Ukrainians and Indian government officials who came forward to support us. Provided us all the required perks and kept our hopes alive. The evacuation was late but truly magical. Thanks 🇮🇳gov.

Sorry to hear. I do understand that sumy studenrs were evicted at last. But please, next time, listen to the Indian government's advice. Yes, locals helped because of Indian leadership pressure. Indian officials came because of the PM. Just do a Google search and see if any country is able to create a green corridor when war is happening. India did. India and her leadership went beyond the call of duty.

A special corridor was designed to especially lift INDIAN citizens and students and both sides stopped the shelling.
When major countries are busy in vaccinating their citizens, INDIA not only inoculated its largest population of 150 crore population but had given vaccine free to more than 100 countries. We believe in VASHUDEV KUTUMBKAM. We are the mother of DEMOCRACY. We r the NEW INDIA.

I had my flight on 24 itself , I am a student from kharkiv med university, so I left kharkiv on 23rd night for kiev , boryspil with one of my friends... Rest were having fights on later dates... But when we reached there .... Boryspil (Airport) was shutdown and a huge crowd were rushing out of kiev... Bus dropped us there... we were unaware of kiev city ... We don't know anyone there... Somehow I got to know we have to go to hostel of kiev med university, then upon reaching there we got instructions to reach bogomolets hostel where we can stay for sometime.... At that time me and my friend got separated , she got another place to stay but for some reasons I can't go with her... So after that I got alone.... Even more issue was I didn't have much cash as I was prepared for going back home... And I didn't have any card..my friend was going to pay for it if needed ..
Then with the only cash I left with... I booked a taxi... And reached bogomolets hostel.. There I was thinking to talk to anyone , so that I can transfer money to there account from home and they can pay for me.. And by God's grace , I met some senior bhaiyas and didis from my state... I tried to connect with them and May God bless them... They took care of me like I'm a younger brother... They paid for all my expenses , they cooked food , they booked tickets for me , and everything till we reached India.. If they are reading this comment, Thank you ❤ Nrusingh bhai , Biswa bhai , Swati didi , Tanmaya didi and all.. so we all decided to reach Hungary border anyhow... Upon reaching kiev railway station... We got a train to kovel , and we just hoped on... To leave kiev anyhow.... Then upon reaching kovel we moved to lviv and in lviv there was a hugee rush... Even people were using guns to board train... So we decided to book a bus to uzgorod and we reached uzgorod by bus ( that bus runs only twice a week, again God's grace)... From uzgorod we booked a taxi to chop border , there we waited a lot many hours... And then we crossed chop-zahony border... A sense of relief...
Then we took a train to Budapest, there Indian embassy people came and provided us with hotels for 2 days stay... Then from Budapest we flew back our Home... 🇮🇳..
I don't know what kind of memory this was but it is worth remembering.
Some of my friends were also there in this video , some were much scared bavk in Kharkiv , one of my friend came back using EC(EMERGENCY CERTIFICATE).. and everyone faced diff. Challenges and have diff. Memories...
But we have more to fight , we have to get our degrees for what we have went far from home...
      Take care , stay safe

I've had a constant adrenaline rush of emotions as I watched this entirely. This wasn't just an operation, but a message to the world that humanity exists, love exists and made everyone realise the power of never giving up. Kudos to our Government for their anticipated approach and proactively bringing a solution to the problem. India isn't just a country, India is a land of love, hope and peace.

After watching this intriguing documentary, one monologue comes to my mind from the movie 'Airlift' where lead character was saying "After this operation, I never said what my country has done for me"❤
