The fact that the judge dropped all of the charges against Ruby’s abusive husband, while well aware of what he had done to her is sickening. I have a very hard time believing that one of her own children made the decision to stay with him. Also how the hell is that even allowed? A child should not be able to make the legal decision of who gets custody over them. And he wasn’t charged with it because of “lack of evidence”. Seriously?! He CLEARLY was the one who was at fault for this crime and yet they still dismissed him despite his accomplice being honest about what he did? This and the hostage case from 2001 and 2002 just goes to show how underdeveloped and abhorrent Philippine’s law enforcement and court systems are.

Ruby has been severed from ANY justice as well as the fact that her parents have NO contact with their grandchildren. Such a POS country and no justice!!

We ALL know that Rubys death was at the hands of her husband, his father as well as EVERY family member. Ruby’s FIL, with his prominent position, dictated the child custody arrangement AND the disappearance of the witness!! Ruby refused to go away therefore she was murdered and it looks like her husband is going to walk free. As for that POS in Calgary that murdered Lisa, I am so happy that they caught that POS, found Lisa’s body as well as imprisoned his pathetic ass! His release would be an injustice for Lisa!!
It's so disheartening how corrupt the law in countries like the Philippines can be and how lax Canadian law is with murder cases. Being Canadian myself and seeing people pretty much get away with murder personally, it's actually quite scary

When the world needed you the most, you returned. Also related to that Ruby Rose Barrameda case, which was all over the news back when I was in 4th year high school, while they may be right that her death might not be from strangulation, if I understoodit correctly, it is from oxygen deprivation, which is probably a result of her head being covered. Yes they may have strangled her and she may have lost consciousness, but she may also regained consciousness while in the drum.
Still, a really tragic death and I still hope that she gets the right justice she deserve.
