Yeah true, but take away the rape aspect, her friends still allowed a 115 pound woman to drink beyond her limit.
Its sad to see that sexual assault was brought into it, definitely terrible use of the press.
Maybe had the SA aspect not been brought up, they could have gone after the men for not allowing her more alcohol after numerous instances of vomiting.
If that could had been addressed there may be closure, yet due to all this crap? Nobody is seeing that alcohol poisoning is a thing.

This was what I had commented. I saw your comment so I thought I'd share To me it seemed like she may have died from alcohol poisoning. It wouldn't take nothing to choke and aspirate on your vomit. Or to just stop breathing. You could also have aneurysms from drinking too much. Is she fell or knocked into something. I mean she didn't look like she was too steady on her feet to me. They didn't seem like they had to force her she was all over the one gentleman. They all seem like they were being very friendlike they were gentle with her. That's not what you would typically see in a rape. That's not to say that it couldn't have happened. But I think it's extremely unlikely. She was so drunk I think if there was semen at all, she probably willingly had sex with them. I think that they were probably rough housing. She could have fallen off the bid and bopped her head. Nobody would have thought anything of it cuz they were just as drunk as she was. I don't think it's a rape slay case at all. If anything it's accidental death due to high levels of consumed alcohol. I think if somebody there anybody there was sober they would have called for help. But you know when someone's drunk and they fall asleep you don't think that's the last time you're ever going to see them alive you know? They were all young. I don't think any of them did anything to intentionally hurt her. The boy even made her a bed and stuff in the bathtub so she would be comfortable. That's not typically something that you see after someone's raped. Also it would be unusual for them to all stick around. To me it sounds like the Filipino media again is turning something tragic into a full-fledged meteor shit storm so they can seem like they're more competent than they actually are. You're arresting these young men for a crime that didn't even happen. Y'all are making shit up as you go. And for what? It was an accident. It could have happened to any one of them. They drank too much they're just dumbass young adults. I don't think anybody wanted that girl dead I don't think anybody took advantage of her. I think the reason she's got bruises everywhere was cuz when you're drunk you knock into shit. And I think it's deplorable that they're trying to turn this into something that it's not. And now you got what four or five people's lives they're ruined. And for what? There are plenty of crimes out there to investigate go pick one and solve it this ain't one of them

Seems like her mom was just so heartbroken, and did not want to admit that her daughter's drinking may have been the cause of her death. I knew a family that went through something similar in the fact that campus police botched their son's death investigation, but even then all evidence pointed to his death as an accident. But they spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on private investigators and lawyers (which yielded nothing but the demise of their retirement funds), because they never would have admitted that their son was a drug user. It absolutely destroyed their family, and their son's roommates were all accused of homicide by them, so that surely had a deeply negative impact on their lives as well. I feel so bad for her family and friends, and on top of that to have all the media being shoved down their throats; it must be soul crushing and debilitating.

@@sandrastirling3557 It was a horrible thing that happened that night period! People get together and drink irresponsibly, especially young people. Did they make the best decisions that night? I would guess probably not. Usually when a friend gets drunk, they go and sleep it off. I’m guessing they thought she wasn’t in any danger and would sleep it off and be fine in the morning. Does that equate to murder? I think not. A girl lost her life that night and yes everything about that is horrible and tragic but you are not going to fix that by accusing people of murder. Especially people that seem to be her friends and seemed like they actually cared about her. The way this case was handled was a crime! The family should sue for how this all was handled and because of that there is no evidence. Are you mad? You can not just charge these people with murder without evidence of a crime! There is a lot of things that can go wrong when you drink to much, especially if you are habitual drinker. Honestly I don't see any red flags seen in the video behavior of the people other then her who clearly is to intoxicated. Alcohol cannot cause an aortic aneurysm, it's a congenital defect. Most likely she had marfans syndrome considering her height, long arms and fingers. That causes aortic aneurysms. But the repeated vomiting due to alcohol can increase the intra abdominal pressure and increased blood pressure that would lead to a ruptured aortic aneurysm. Bruises can easily be due to kneeling in front of the toilet for multiple times.
Her parents are looking to blame someone because of the grief I think.

We hear a lot about how amazing the perseverance of loved ones can lead to justice (or at least closure) in some cases, but here’s a case where the opposite shows itself, where a family’s understandable disbelief that their seemingly young, healthy and promising daughter could just die without having someone to blame for it.
Unfortunate case of “Hurt people hurt people.”

And not just that she couldn't have died without someone to blame for it, I think a large factor was that unfortunately she died on a night where she was staying in a hotel room with 11 men, and was seen visibly intoxicated on camera. I can see why they were so adamant to not believe it could be true. Coupled with the fact that the family prbly didn't know any of these guys bc they were co-workers living in another country. But if you watch the footage you really can see just care and concern from her friends. They took better care of her than alot of people would for a drunk friend who was "causing problems". I'm glad this story didn't have a much worse ending for all the friends that were there that night.

Also seems to be a case of winning vs justice. Too many times prosecutors and cops are just as trigger happy to get a conviction to further their personal political ambitions. The whole thing stinks and it’s clear they started with an answer and worked backwards from there.
I have 3 years sober but the last time I used (heroin) I had a seizure and vomited when I passed out on my friends bathroom floor and she helped to move me to the bed on my side. Turns out I aspirated into my lungs and ended up having to be admitted to the hospital because every lobe in my lungs had severe pneumonia and they were debating whether to intubate or not. But she probably saved my life by flipping me over.
They actually have a law they use a lot around me where if two people use drugs together and one dies, the other can be charged with “drug delivery resulting in death “ and get 25+ years. It was meant to go after “kingpins” but of course they use it to go after people who aren’t selling but just using together. Of course this ends up with people being afraid to call 911. They are usually pushed by families who just want someone other than themselves to blame. Any time I ODed I would not have wanted someone locked up for 25+ years. No one forced that into my veins. It was my choice and mine alone. But the system isn’t good at admitting they are wrong and continuously just double down on dumb policies.

There's so many examples out there, not only for women but for men also. Thing is, accountability is most women kryptonite.
If I walk around a hot spot counting money and I get mugged. When I file the report to the cops what do you think they would ask? "What the hell where you thinking?"

If they would have called an ambulance when she first started throwing up he stomach could have been properly pumped. And wanted so badly for everyone to do their jobs properly so the truth can be known. So closure can be had. I commend them. Some people don't even understand just how much empathy the LGBTQ community has. And why women trust them over and over again. She was not only 100% safe with those man. I'm 8 minutes through, and my first theory is that she passed of something like, too much alcohol?
Edit: A lot of this seems really suspicious on the government and polices part, especially what one of them said about the men having urges despite being gay.
Also, seeing how intoxicated she was, she seemed incredibly clumsy and all over the place so its no wonder she has bruises.
Edit 2: I personally believe she died of intoxication. One of her friends described her "having her hands laying on her stomach" in a gesturing motion, she couldve been signaling she was having cramps due to the alcohol?
Final thoughts, since she had a heart condition, drinking so much alcohol probably influenced the rupture. Negligence in hospitality can be found in any hospital, any country, and drinking affects any heart condition as far as I know.

@melky dew it was a mistake by the authorities to immediately send her to the embalmer. An honest mistake. Others than that, this is not a criminal case. Homicide has already been debunked. I'm from the Philippines BTW. And these homosexual men's lives were partially destroyed by this case. I feel for them. One of them, a Taiwanese Filipino was forced to come out in public. His shocked father disowned him and he was sent away for awhile. A few weeks later his father passed I think due to cardiac arrest. The guy was hurt and cried for his father's death specially when he heard from his sisters that in his father's final days, he was looking for his son, asking how he is doing and meant to reconcile. He and his father were actually very close. Another guy, his mother is a famous legendary singer in PH. She's got cancer. She defended his son from the press so hard. But a month later, she too passed while the case was still ongoing. That guy's life really fell apart--- they have to close down their mother's restaurant, sell some of their furniture and priceless paintings to pay for the said case. His friends would send him food at home cuz they know his family was having financial crisis. So many things happened to them. All because no one believed them at first, that they are innocent when they said they were.

Yeah, aneurysms truly are silent killers. Many people who have one show no symptoms and don't even realize they have it until it ruptures, which can often happen without warning and lead to sudden death. My friend's cousin, who was like 12 years old and appeared to be perfectly healthy, had an un-diagnosed cerebral aneurysm. 20 minutes after complaining of a headache to the school nurse one day, she just fell over and died.
