wait, Where are eyedrops used? In switzerland we inly use the other 5. at least as far as I know. are there some specific situations where those are used?
There’s lens replacement surgery, where the lens in your eyeball is replaced with a synthetic lens. It’s a permanent fix with great success rate, but very pricey at around $10K.
@ yeah, I’m saving for refractive lens replacement surgery. It’s around $10k here and I wanna pay cash instead of using a their payment plan with interest.
treatment /trēt′mənt/ noun The use of an agent, procedure, or regimen, such as a drug, surgery, or exercise, in an attempt to cure or mitigate a disease, condition, symptom or injury.
Keep in mind that if you get the refractive surgery for good long distance vision in one eye and the other eye for good close up vision, you won’t be able to pass the DMV eye test and get a driving license. You need to pass the test with each eye individually.
This is not true. I have amblyopia and have been driving for 21 years. "What Vision Do You Need to Get a Driver's License in Texas? According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, you must have a minimum visual acuity of 20/70 in at least one eye, with or without correction."
Glasses don’t fix the cause of the problem!! Only make it worse!! When I was younger I used glasses for myopia and by not using them (for laziness, not for other reason) my eyes improved!! What a waste of my time! I want exercises! (I imagine you are trying to help, but you know glasses won’t fix the problem and actually you become dependent on those)
He forgot to tell you that it is your diet that is HUGELY to blame, I cant believe how well I can read up close now compared to a year ago, do I have presbyopia, yes but I rarely need readers and dont own 4 pairs anymore lol Distance visoin much better as well, it is the FOOD

Is there a entry level panoptix much like like entry level progressive? Most people don't know rather never privileged to have been explained by any optometrist out there. The whole time you're paying for expensive progressive prescription but in reality you're Only getting the entry or poor quality progressive 🙄
The Panoptix lens is a cataract lens implant, they work on a completely different technology than the progressive lenses in eye glasses. WRT progressive eye glass lenses I agree that the options in qualities of progressive lenses is oftern poorly explained, if at all. There are dozens and dozens of options and price points of progressives can range from $250 to over $1000...you do get what you pay for.
I can't believe there isn't a cure for this. Surely there's some compound that can break the chemical bonds that cause lens stiffness.
EXACTLY!! Everything this guy august requires glasses- We ALREADY KNOW THAT! ugh!!!
That is simply crazy, you must learn the physical properties of presbyopia. The lens is growing a layer on top of itself.
@@DonaldGloveruieie8511 If it's crazy why is there research into eye drops that make the lens more pliable through the exact mechanism I mentioned?
@@Aiphiae those drops already exist. But you need to use them daily
There was a Novartis test of alpha-lipoic acid choline ester. But they abandoned it.
Such an informative video in simple language so everybody can benefit. Really appreciate it
glad it could help
Thank you for the great information you provide to us.
Glad it was helpful!

Yes this is called cataract surgery. Now if you have it done when you don't have a cloudy crystalline lens it is called clear lens exchange.

Can anyone please let me know if they have anxiety with blurry vision and how they are coping with it cause I’m going through a crippling nightmare!!
you are not alone. blurred vision can be very frustrating. try to have a positive outlook, and do what you can.
I have been using reading glasses for about 2 hours, I know have the worst headache. Wth I feel as if I shouldn’t drive
This is not treating presbyopia, is about using crutches (glasses and eyeglasses) to see. To treat means to CURE, reverse a disease.

no

We can do the surgery after getting licence

There are now glasses for myopia management that slow down the progression of myopia
