The relationship between weight and health is complicated, you can't tell if she's healthy or not just by looking at her and frankly, its none of your business.
The point of the poem is that everyone deserves to be valued and seen.

The relationship is complex, indeed. But for the record, the body also is not nontransparent...but you're right, for all I know she COULD be perfectly healthy (as unlikely as it seems). I was just raising the question of concern, and frankly, that is not too far from my business if she's the poet who is presenting her deeply meaningful art to the whole world, and an observer of her art is wanting to raise dialogue to fellow observers about how we would want her to stick around healthily for a while. Food for thought.

The point of this poem was that we should look beyond weight to see the person underneath. By getting so caught up in your "concern" you are missing the point.

It doesn't mean that I missed the point of the poem if I raise another one...And everything else is everybody's business? The fact that we get up close and personal with someone and their life and their emotions, etc when we observe their art? It's like saying "her feelings can very well be our business, because of what she's trying to communicate.." but then the health of this real human being who is before us- that's suddenly not our business? I don't understand that.
