I love the level of details you cover all the way to how Diadora distributed through Fleet Feet and Holabird Sports. I live in the Philadelphia area and the Philadelphia Runner is a local store that also carries Diadora products.
I’ve trained in the shoe twice while doing intervals and both times I got to the end of the run with zero foot pain or discomfort. That’s a big deal for me because I tend to get foot pain or some level of discomfort from pretty much every other shoe I own
Very comfortable shoe if you are heavier. Bleeds off a lot of shock going through your knees hips and back.. Very welcome since my old go to Asics decided to stop making comfortable or well-made shoes it seems. Width is more or less normal, though they might have a hint less metatarsal depth than some shoes. They feel like an old fashioned running shoe in philosophy but have a more modern feeling ride. They vaguely remind me of some hokas I have had with that marshmallow soft feel and they feel tall. The shortness of the default laces is a sick joke. They aren't light but they don't feel like weights at the ends of your feet.
Bring back Diadora Mythos Racer! Circa 4-05' the axeller coil tech was ahead of it's time almost like the Fila K4 racer with Kevlar plate. The Diadora Mythos Racer also had a sweet curved last that opened up in forefoot
It looks great I agree, however I think $135 is still quite pricey for a shoe with no cutting edge midsole foam or other 'modern' technologies. Good to see another company trying to compete with the top running brands though
Wessel v what justifies the kayano being $160, the beast being $160, the gaviota being $150, the hurricane being $160. While I think $120 is the sweet spot for running shoes, $135 isn’t crazy. This is a super well rounded shoe that can check a lot of the boxes for the people who aren’t big running nerds. Not everyone has dedicated running shoes. A lot wear them out casually and also run. Which I hate to admit because as a wide boi, I want fun colors, not boring casual gray.
@@jarrettw7753 I agree that there will always be overpriced shoes. Most of them make up for this with superior durability or cushioning. However at this budget and below, there are many other alternatives which are either lighter (kinvara), more durable (adidas supernova/solarglide) or even both (Reebok forever floatride energy). Maybe it is because I'm a runner myself, but I don't see a lot people running and walking in the same shoes. Maybe Diadora has found a niche there, but I don't see any reason for a runner to pick these shoes over the competition.
Hey BITR. In an already crowded field of daily trainers (Peg 37, Ultraboost, Atreyu, etc), what Volo feature would tip the scale to add this to the rotation (besides wearing it with jeans 😉).
Peg 37 is somewhat polarizing, it seems to work for some really well and others not at all. Peg 37 also has some heel lift issues. Atreyu is fun and snappy not to mention light AF, but doesn't provide the daily cushioning some runners need. It also isn't extremely durable. UltraBOOST has a soft spot in my heart, but that shit is heavy. Volo is probably the most well rounded of the shoes you mentioned.
I always thought of tennis. Borg, Becker, and Courier all wore Diadora back in the day. Classy, stylish brand. I've used their tennis shoes and running shoes. High quality and distinct look.
Me too! The shoe looks like a throwback from the 90s. Heavy weight, suede pieces, and "good looking"?-I don’t know what these guys are talking about. I kept waiting for the punchline.
I hope diadora really step up there game and bring some competition, this is a good revival

Are you still running in Diadora?
It's pretty dope for a running shoe.
FYI, gusseted tongues can suck for wide feet. Keeping the tongue from sliding around is good, but limiting space is not.
Need that yellow believe in the run shirt, one of the best running shoe review channel btw straight to the point and sly funny comments🙌
You’re the smartest person we have met on TH-cam. That shirt is the McNulty, it is available on the site.

I love the podcast the drop… But hard to find and doesn’t pop up on my normal Apple podcasts. Any suggestions to keep you guys at the top of my list?

The brooks ghost 13 cost 130 and has been the same for years ...

I hear Diadora I think soccer cleats, you were the s*** if you had Diadora cleats growing up. Did not know they made running shoes.
You can be the s*** on the streets now!

Nice!
This episode was punny. "You're not gonna get outkast on your run." STOP lol.
Diadora? Ay whatsa matta you.
Lifestyle shoe
Maybe a fun option once it’s 50% off. 😅
Thought this was going to be a parody video.

You need an Orange Mocha Frappuccino
It's a godawful visual shoe with zero technology to justify the price. Hype beasts will eat it up lmao.
