Field Day as it should be, just having a good time with friends 📻👍! Myself and two other local HAMs got together here in North Florida, a 29’ end fed vertical, a 40m EFHW, two G90s on a car battery, good food, on site rag chewing, and had a great time ! Worked stations from Oregon to Russia, and Newfoundland to Columbia, with no intent on keeping “score”. 73 de Dan WD4DB

This was my first Field Day as well. One thing about making contacts on field day: Make sure you know your class and section number. I had no idea but remembered one of the things you do as a new DXer: listen, listen, and listen some more before keying up. I did just that and learned how to answer a field day CQ. I'm waiting for you to make an antenna out of a coat hanger and an old fisherman's boot. I want to thank you for making me feel more comfortable able trying new things with antennas. Now my wife has to hide anything made of metal or containing wires unless she wants to see it in antenna...&# KN6KNB

I was operating VA5PAR for Field Day last weekend. I heard you operating VE7IHF on 20m but you didn't hear me well enough for a QSO. I should have thrown in a WooHoo for effect. de VE5RJK

That's definitely not a lupin boomerang antenna. Looks like a foxglove boomerang antenna. The latin name for foxglove is digitalis, so should be good for FT8😊
