    Thank you Dr. Winchy! This was super helpful! However your practice answer for #4 is Class 4 however I believe it is class 3.

      The example shows only one incisor #23. Therefore the edentulous area is a single one that crosses the midline. That makes it a Kennedy Class IV. If #24 was present, the edentulous area would not cross the midline which would make it a Kennedy Class III by definition. I looked up the presentation because of your comment to make sure I had commented correctly.

      Practice test # 4. Single edentulous area that crosses the midline (both central’s are missing) therefore Class 4

    In the question number 7 cross middle and the answer was class 1

      You have in Practice test question 7, the most posterior edentulous area determines classification. You have a posterior edentulous area on both sides of the cast which makes it a Ken Class I. The one posterior area does cross the midline but there are no posterior teeth on that side. There are two posterior edentulous areas Also a rule is that there can be no other edentulous areas in a Kennedy Class IV.
