elden boy it seems most people enjoyed the video! but two small things seem to bother people: 1. I said it doesn't matter if you think Old Kratos is weaker or stronger than Young because it just doesn't. I also want to placate to both sides as it is somewhat debated about in a lot of spaces and didn't want this video to focus on Kratos vs Kratos when it wasn't important. 2. I do say Caelid as Kylid. I have zero idea why, I guess in my head it was just more fun to say it that way as I did all my playthroughs and it just stuck with me. Hope that doesn't bother people too much!

One peculiar thing about Kratos is that, as a God of War, he gets stronger the more he fights - he's practically a Broly in that regard. So I imagine the world and enemies of Elden Ring would be like a never-ending stream of zenkai boost for him.
That's an amazing way to put it also if you notice where God of war 3 he dies near the symbolizayoon of a pheonix basically referencing the more he dies the stronger he becomes.
He’s more like TYBW Aizen tbh. Mf sits in a chair and casually becomes super OP while Kratos grows strong with age AND combat. He’s pretty busted in terms of sheer potential.
Kratos: Come boy, we march for Malenia Atreus: no father we should gain her trust as an allie for war Mimir: "Telling random stories he heard about the elden ring and the gods there"
Atreus: “So does that mean that the Greater Will is good?” Mimir: “It’s all up to interpretation, lad. No one can really say what the Greater Will does or doesn’t want for certain.”
Not subject to the topic but how does kratos have a soul he's died twice and still that mermaid creature who maid the spear can see him cause brok died and he hasn't got no soul
Thats actually incorrect. No developer used such words Cory merely said Old Kratos would WIN,he didnt talk about physical strength.Brute strength isnt everything Later on they asked another dev about that statement who stated that Old Kratos would find the strength to win cause he has to protect Atreus as motivation. We have many statements that heavily imply/say GoW3 Kratos is much stronger than 2018 Kratos with only end of GoW2018 being somewhat close and GoW Ragnarok Kratos being stated to be on the same level as his peak after training for 3 years.
@@newhybrid101 Well Im also late to this but I would also disagree and say that 2018 Kratos is much stronger then GOW3 Kratos...Simply due to the fact that not only far more years of training with his strength...but also mentally as well...Also the shit that 2018 Kratos has to deal with....In the first game and Ragnarok...with Baldur and Thor who could have rather easily beat every old god in GOD3 and before...And then Kratos beat them both....No Old Kratos got this...
@OROSW yea I don't understand how peeps think a younger kratos blinded by anger would surpass an older kratos with more knowledge, weapons and strength. It's like saying older zues (who only has an old appearance cos he wants it...) is weaker than his younger self.
I always see kratos as being stronger in base then young kratos. The only difference being that young kratos has stacked equipment like the power of hope and blade of Olympus while also being bloodlusted. Old kratos is always holding back it seems.
Base Gow4 Kratos is far stronger than Rage Kratos Gow3. Although it is true that Kratos no longer has his odd abilities, but the ones he has are always enough. Kratos can heal, has infinite stamina, and mastery of combat. If it's a weapon, Kratos can use it.
@@FierceDeity351- No, he is not. Base GoW3 Kratos has the Blade of Olympus which holds his God of War Powers, Zeus’ powers, Athena’s powers and he also has the magics of the titans all of which immensely increase his strength 2-The only magical ability Kratos has left is rage which he always had 3- Kratos does not infinite stamina. He can eventually get tired and start seeing illusions which was shown in Fallen God comics. For everyone who regurgitate that “Cory said so.” Actually provide evidence from GoW4 or its novel that proves this. Surely you can find it if it’s there.
Kratos would slaughter him in a matter of seconds. Kratos vs the gods described as "legends" eg. Maliketh Godfrey Placidusax would be better fights imo

Kratos vs The Dark Souls pantheon would’ve been a lot more contentious. With some of the top-god tiers being able to sustain or fuel constructs, which arguably collapses multiple universes onto each other while also distorting their time and space. And with even dragons existing before time and maybe space.
@@AmsyarBrosku it probably exceeds it if you don’t wank off the Yggdrasil feat. Based on the strict universal feats from both series. Dark souls probably takes it due to the fact that the first flame collapses countless universes. So it’s better than Thor and Jormungandr shaking the 9 realms.
@@brendanfields3691 fs, Kratos would probably fuck up the majority of dragons if not all the dragons in Dark Souls. Probably other than Seath who should be above lords of cinder which they could arguably have higher scaling than Kratos.
The dragons couldn't possibly exist beyond time and space. They lived in arch trees in a land of grey crags, originally surrounded by hollows, until the humans were infused with souls and found The First Flame. This necessitates they cannot be beyond time or space. The closest ones are Aldia, who fused into the very literal foundation of the world, beyond even the Dark and the Deep, and the Giants, who by special rite could traverse through history, at the very least that we know of. The next closest is Fia, who could function as a gateway to some strange end of days that might be akin a debatable cyclical nature of the world trying to return to darkness so it can be a land of grey again. Aldia isn't even conscious that we know of after DS2, so maybe I should only count the giants after all. The First Flame definitely is beyond time, space, life and death. It summons the Black Knights and stirs godly souls into a vanguard to enable it to perpetuate the aforementioned cycle without intervention. Yet the Flame displays nary a wit of sentience or resistance to this Linking, so we cannot hope to count it. Better to say The Profaned Flame, which is malicious and spite and conspiratorial.
@@kainescream8302 no he's just a pacifist. This is stated by the creator who said older kratos is stronger than younger kratos. Kratos is not weak, he has grown older, he has more experience, and has learned from past mistakes. He now holds back, because he rather not go all out and cause unnecessary destruction and death if he can avoid so.
Yeah, he had the power to go and solo all of norse, as he implied infront of odin, he held back against thor, thor staed after losing in the second fight.
@@depressedasfook2893 they said his magic items lost all of their power, Kratos is still trucking, and he doesn't use the power of Hope or really anything outside of a handful of weapons to beat Odin. Hell, he could canonically beat Odin with just his fists if the player is daring enough
@@henrryeaeaea He only "seems weaker" because of differences in game mechanics. Game mechanics aren't necessarily accurate to canon GoW lore (same situation in almost every lore-driven game series). Whatever you think about the Norse games, Kratos' physical strength is canonically greater than it's ever been.
Agree with the conclusion but the only reason we are resurrected after losing to characters like Malekith is because of the Elden Tree. If we are assuming that Kratos isn’t granted grace and isn’t chosen by the Elden Tree, Malekith can straight up kill him permanently as Destined Death is the only reason we can kill the Elden Beast in the first place. The “secret ending” that takes place with Melina also implies that she can kill the Lord of Frenzied Flame, meaning that someone wielding the full power of it can kill people who scale above the Elden Beast.
One argument in the Elden Ring verse’s favor is that, in the Elden Beast fight, the arena is made up of hundreds of Erdtrees. If we take this to be a representation of multiple realities (which is incredibly likely), then the Elden Beast functions on the level of multiversal threats, something which it’s super debatable Kratos can at all contend with. By that logic, not only could the Elden beast have a good chance of defeating Kratos, so does Malenia, from the fact that not only did she resist the goddess of rot for so long, but she had also become the goddess of rot’s physical avatar in phase 2, making Kratos deal with a power being brought down to his comprehension.
Too uninterpretable and vague. Much like how the Elden ring works. The universe isn’t deterministic on its existence and it only acts as an enforcer or vassals for an outer gods influence. The Elden beast feat is multi solar system-universal at best.
the world tree yggdrasil trancends the concept of space-time, thor splintered it and kratos tanks an fp thor.... that's a feat way beyond infinite realities gow with the world tree scaling could scale the verse from base complex to outerversal.... that's the difference in cosmology, if we adding cosmology then kratos literally negs via no limits fallacy 🗿
@@AmsyarBrosku the Yggdrasil only transcends the notion of time and space and it’s not qualitatively superior to those said concepts. The fact that it’s still bounded by the fate of the world implies that it would even be near low complex or outerversal levels of power. People seem to forget that time and space already exists on a metaphysical level and then jerk off the feat to extreme levels.
@@ALMSIVI3e427 This is on top of Kratos never being implied to do high level damage to the world tree. Thor splintered it, but we see how massive the tree is in Ragnarok. A splinter is not gonna destroy it by a long shot. If anything, a better argument is that Kratos killed Nidhogg with assistance, who’s able to ‘trim the roots’, but never implied to be able to harm the tree meaningfully.
so most people don't know this but Kratos is actually stronger than his past self, it may seem like he is "worn down" or "weakened" but that is (mostly) because he doesn't want to go back to his past self, I've also heard that he only uses 30% of his power but that may not be true
Yeah if you notice in game the moment he chooses to kill someone they are done, finito, they literally stand no chance. He straight up one taps Bauldur, moves faster than Hiemdall can read minds etc. then only reason Odin didn't get the same treatment is because Kratos was tryin to subdue him and subduing someone is way harder than actually killing them.
@@weebkingray4109 old Kratos as in the one from the older games? Or old as In age. I don’t see how older kratos is stronger than his older self he lost all his magical abilities.
So he held back during the countless time that boy almost got killed? I never liked the theory that Kratos was holding back, it stripped all the tension and seriousness of the entire experience
I think the real question is, could the Tarnished survive the GOW universe? I bring this up because throughout the video I had an image of my head of Baldur knocking on Kratos’ door and seeing the Tarnished before asking “who the hell are you?”
The Tarnished is pretty strong if you think about it. Also if he still has his immortality then he will just keep coming back until he downloads Odin's moves and woops his ass lol
We've never really seen how Kratos is affected by diseases other than the pestilence released by Hermes having no effect, but poison attacks do drain health in the Norse games If Kratos comes down with Scarlet Rot mid battle, he may die if he's by himself without Atreus or Freya to heal him
If we are going with Elden ring’s logic then Kratos wouldn’t even need that, he would be practically immune to it because of the. Blades of chaos with their primordial flame burning the Scarlet rot.
I do think that Maliketh's Death won't autokill Kratos, but only because it isn't the full Rune of Death, as some of it was stolen away by Ranni to give to the Black Knife Assassins. I agree with this on every count, even with Kratos holding back his rage.
@@Denzz2 Maliketh is single-handedly the most important entity in the game other than the outer gods of course. With him dead the order of the world is completely flipped, he serves as a grim reaper and to also keep Marika in check, so at the very least he’s equal to her in power, he also defeated an Empyrean and her army alone so I’d say he ranks above Godfrey and maybe even Placiduisax.
First off, it'd be a miracle if he would even get a chance to use it before Kratos kills him. Second, destined death is too vague to even say what effect it would have on Kratos. Third, Kratos also has a high chance to just elevate into an even higher existence like Athena after his 'death'.
It would be interesting to see Seth talk more about the Souls games. There is a lot of power scaling potential and speculation on how strong were some of the characters in their prime.
If we’re going by in-universe rules, here are the things that would be capable of stopping him: Destined Death, Scarlet Rot, Unalloyed Gold, The Flame of Frenzy if he’s arrogant enough to try and harness it, and possibly cosmic beings like Astel depending on the full extent of that thing’s power (technically it should be able to teleport people into space, that’s where Astel summons its meteors from).
Didn't Thor hit the world serpent so hard that it went back in time but then Thor hits Kratos and he remained there? Even Odin was shaping hands with Kratos and yet there Kratos STILL remained.
No matter the pantheon kratos would collect their weapons and magic and the older kratos would take the time to care and know the power intimately, so like the main character of the game he'd be getting stronger as he goes
you probably don't the fact that thor sent jormungandr back through space-time (time travel) the world tree trancends the concept of space-time which could scale the verse around outerversal kratos cannot "permanently" die, cuz y'know he just refuses to die it also depends if it's gow 3 kratos or current kratos (Ragnarok)... gow 3 kratos would be more blinded by rage and would almost instantly try to kill yoi while Ragnarok kratos would most likely try to see how his enemies abilities work kratos was able to tank hits from a bloodlusted fp thor, the same dude that splintered the world tree which contains 9 infinite sized realms and sent jormungandr back in time..... meaning kratos could most likely tank almost any attacks in elden ring kratos was able to beat character's like zeus who literally one-shoted gaia the literal personification of the earth and is also a primordial meaning he's physically stronger than anyone in elden ring.... primordials can literally effect concepts of something like thanatos who literally created the domain of death which is an infinite sized realm that trancends the concept of death it highly depends on how heavy are the stars that radahn was carrying, if it's below an infinite sized realm level then kratos instantly negs
I could see this being an interesting fight. If he has to play by elden ring rules, it would be a tough ass fight, especially radahn. Which radahn actually did halt the stars as you see them be released upon his defeat in the cutscene. It would be hard to scale if he would beat radahn as radahn constantly holding up the stars and a meteor that was going to destroy his hometown is akin to him tying one arm behind his back and wearing weights on his legs along with the fact we have no true idea how strong he and malenia were in their primes.
I mean Kratos scales higher than Atlas who held the entire Greek universe up and last I checked holding a universe is a greater feat than holding the stars so Radahn literally gets one shot. Now if we want to go even further than that by the end of the 3rd game Kratos scales higher than Zeus who scales higher than all the primordial and Titans who created the Greek Multiverse, Space, Time etc. in essence Radahn doesnt even get the chance to fight back againts GOW 3 Kratos much less the stronger GOW Ragnarök Kratos.
@@ricremricrem2221 yeah, also we’re talking about in elden ring lore with kratos taking the place of the tarnished. It's very unique when you look at the gods. Like the Greek gods he gets stronger as he gets older but he doesn't need to be worshipped or eat the foods they ate to prolong his lifespan. Granted he does look older and in the new games hes also stronger which doesn't really correlate. I think it's more of the fact that hes having to show a great amount of restraint and discipline at all times to hold back His anger and dealing with constant nightmares memories cetera thats making him look older. We know hes over a thousand years old and as a demi god hes proven himself stronger than high ranking gods. Plus so far every time kratos has died hes just said yeah and I'm not doing that today.
I think you got the elden beast thing wrong. The elden beast is a part of the greater will like a sort of commander in an army. It’s said in the elden stars item description that the greater will sent a star bearing a beast to the lands between. Not that the elden beast just sent itself. So there potentially could be more elden beasts but it is not the greater will as a whole.
He understood that as he only offered up the interpretation of the Elden Beast as a incarnation of not only order but the Greater Will itself, as a highball for the Elden Beast against Kratos.
The Elden Beast isn't just a commander in the GW's army or whatever, it is quite literally the Elden Ring itself, which is a metaphysical object capable of imposing laws of physics and concept on any living being, including the Beast itself, as shown by the fact that the Rune of Death, once unbound, is capable of killing the Elden Beast and any other lifeforms permanently
@@loomingmoon4682 Ans now we know, that GW just threw some stuff to the lands between, only for some time later leave them, lmao. GW just doesn't care about that place.
I agree. When mentioning the term “Outer God” it is always depicted as outer gods being many times stronger than normal gods. A outer god to a normal god, is what a normal god is to a human. I do think kratos would get rid of scarlot rot as there is that one incantation that cures scarlot rot by purifying yourself with fire but scarlot rot wouldn’t just burn away from the presence of it as observed when there’s fire all over caelid but scarlot rot is still present. It would need fire that is focused specifically onto the scarlot rot and not a fire that is just burning in general if you get what I mean. Basically he would need to control the fire. As for destined death I think it would play a bigger role as the first demigod slain was stabbed with multiple black knives (which contain a fragment of destined death) and instantly died in mind. So the true destined death would be more scary. I assume the destined death effect would be like TRUE damage. It wouldn’t be able to be healed but can be blocked and possibly mitgated to certain extent. So krstos wouldn’t be able to heal from it and it might work by slowly deleting him from existence in current and future time (I say current and future time because people still know about the gloam eyed queen so she would’ve had to existed at one point even though she died to destined death). So destined death either deletes people or destroys their soul permanently. I did go kinda off topic but the point is he would struggle with destined deathand slightly struggle with scarlot rot. That is until he finds out the cure for SR. Just like in the nordic world he had to find out interactions and wouldn’t just know that scarlot rot is cured with fire focused onto it
Kratos fights and lives as a man. Although he has the power of a god, he almost never shows it anymore. THATS how much restraint he has. He fought Thor, The Norse God of Thunder and Strength, holding back to the level of a man. Which makes the what Kratos does even more impressive.
It has also been confirmed that he doesn't have most of his old magics and gear anymore becuase their power was tied to the land of Greece. So he might be "stronger" he was probably more dangerous with the blade of Olympus, lighting bolts, ect.
Strong possibility he could. But we must also consider he would be playing by the rules of the realm. Meaning he can die if the right person kills him. That's my take. Edit: so to answer a question about "playing by the rules of the realm" I mean to make the fight actually mean something either Kratos would be crossing over into the Lands Between without his power from his own universe. I use this type guideline with any "what if" battles to not only make the fight interesting but also make sense. For example it would make no sense for something like the infinity stones to work outside of their universe of origin because its been established that that isn't possible. And since its been proven that Kratos lost his abilities when Greece died there's a chance that if he out right left his own universe his magic would not work anywhere else. That being said his raw power alone could see him through to the end. That being said things operate differently in Elden ring as it was explained in the video. Given the strange way Elden Ring goes about the concept of death dying in this realm complicates things. Without the death rune no one really dies. So for Kratos to die without the aid of the death rune would break the rules of the universe. But there's also the possibility that not being from that universe the rules may not apply to him. But that also means that applies to all other opponents he has been theorized to be pitted against. The big thing here is where the fight takes place. To me that greatly determines the outcome. Not sure that clears up any confusion, but this is all theoretical so in the end the victor will always be chosen by the one who is writing the story.
Destined death is just another name for it. It’s not literally destiny. It’s just called that. It’s more just the concept of death. Think about it like this, if something has the concept of death, then it will eventually die, i.e. be destined for death. It’s also called the Rune of Death.
For Placi, I would honestly say that the best way to scale him without breaking any form of calculations beyond measure is to say that the area he resides in simply exists outside of time, but is somehow accessible to those within time. Like a pocket dimension where everything that happens within it simply takes place over an infinitesimally small period compared to the world outside. You'd enter it and leave at the exact same moment. Nothing would change in the world, only within that dimension. This at least then at least allows you to calculate Placi's strengths relative to everything else.
Yeah, the storm is less of a timestop effect and more a warping of time so dramatic that it's detached from the timescale of everything around it. Relative to the rest of the world, the storm - and indeed Placidusax himself with his scales - is effectively acausal. The flow of time isn't halted, just distorted beyond all meaning, such that anything that happens there could be considered to happen at any point in time, or to not happen at all, simultaneously. This is why Placidusax is still alive inside the storm for us to fight, despite being supposedly slain by Godfrey once before. It's also why the Needle - which only halts the spread of outer god influence (as seen with Malenia and Millicent), not reverses it - is able to completely cure the frenzy flame when used inside the storm. By using it outside the bounds of time, it's as if we ALWAYS had it.
Great video, and one point regarding the Outer Gods; It is very safe to assume that they are akin to H.P. Lovecraft’s Eldritch beings in scale and in power. This is due to the fact that George R. R. Martin was a co-creater overseeing Elden Ring’s lore and world building. Martin has been on record stating he was heavily inspired by Lovecraft’s work. If you are familiar with his published and written work (yes even the TV show) then you would know he includes many references to Lovecraftian-eque gods and monsters in his works. A few example of these deities include: The Drowned Gods, The Deep Ones, also Fish-like people who worship a frog statue made of oily black stone, and massive cities made again entirely out of oily black stone. All of which are synonymous with Lovecraftian lore and world building. Martin likes to use these Lovecraft’s inspired deity’s to be the foundation of the outerversal gods in his story’s lore, never interacting directly with the story but always being present deep within. So judging off Martin’s own testimony, his previous works, and his tendencies. I can pretty safely say this is the same for Elden Ring.
Love it. There are a few power scaling topics in ER that would be cool, but kinda pointless or impossible. We just don't know how strong people like Ranni or Miquella are, and comparing Malenia's strength to the player characters seems arbitrary. But something like a "How far would Pontiff Sullivan make it in the Lands Between?" would be an awesome video. Midir vs Placidusaxx. Ish like that would be dope
The time thing with the dragon feels pretty out there. It seems more like Placidisax just exists in its own sort of timeless sphere. Like time doesn’t effect things, aging them and stuff.
Not really, he created a realm outside time and space who bounds all rules of reality just for himself to wait the return of his Outer God. Basically, he's on a parallel universe or dimension who is not affected by the rules of reality.
Yeah, dude created a demiplane with the aspect 'time-stopped'. Scaling him to infinite speed as a result is downright stupid, let alone doing the same for every boss that comes *after* him. TBH that's when the video lost any legitimacy as far as I'm concerned.

@@valk232 I wasn't talking about kratos at all with this comment. Was just mentioning how we are fighting a super weakened Radahn. If he was in his prime, I would be terrified.
I think the reason that’s keeping Kratos from using those Greek powers is his mentality he’s wanted to leave his old life behind him and even trained to control his rage with gods a lot about them can alter it seems just based on their mentality, like Atreus getting sick but him believing himself a mortal and being far weaker, it’s after realizing what is his he stops getting sick and even starts effecting the weather with his anger as well as being strong enough to cause shock waves and stagger a Baldur whose actually trying. I think Kratos saying he tried using those powers was before the events of GOW 4 after all the Blades of Chaos still work after Greece’s destruction, after Kratos’ breakthrough after Ragnorak he might be able to use those powers again, and if he can’t well then I guess that’s that

Very interesting explanation. Even though I didn’t play any of the God of War games or Elden Ring (or any other From Software game) I really liked your explanation of the respective lore 👍
not that I think it changes much but saying “Kratos is immune to scarlet rot, because he has the fire of gods within him” or something, I don’t think is super accurate. The fire giant literally has the fell god, a god of fire, inside of him and he can be scarlet rotted. Fire staves off scarlet rot but it doesn’t disable it.
More Souls is always good. How about ranking Fromsoft's bosses? The realm of the Elden Beast might be more impressive than Yggdragsil depending on if each tree represents a planet or a universe. Some have speculated that each FromSoftverse is connect by those trees, because Dark Souls 1 has Ash Lake which is also a place with similar trees though different of color. The trees could also represent alternate dimensions of the Lands Between with each tree representing the dimensions of the other players who exist parallel to ours (that's the canon explanation for why we occasionally see other players) which would explain why each one of those trees has the same color. That could make the realm be connected to an infinite amount of alternate dimensions (or at the very least as much dimensions as there are players). That should put it miles above Yggdragsil. Each tree could also represent a planet, but there is nothing in any of Fromsoft's lore I can think of that even hints at that.
To my understanding, an infinite amount of alternate, 4D dimensions are still limited in the sense that time and physical dimension set the ceiling on their vastness. On the other hand, the Yggdrasil transcends those very concepts entirely, making it 5th dimensional at the very least. And kratos, while never showing that he can entirely destroy this minimum 5th dimensional object, at least shows that he can damage it. I could be wrong, but in my eyes damage and durability directly proven to be on a 5th dimensional level is far beyond endless 4D feats.
@@JuliusAureliusMaximus The realm of the Elden Beast would be the place that connects those universes and not part of the universes itself. That would make it similar to Yggdragsil. The main difference would be that The Realm of the Elden Beast would link as much universes as there are players while Yggdragsil connects 9 realms/universes. It also wouldn't be the only 5th dimensional space as the Dragonlord Placidusax resides in one created by himself which makes higher dimensional feats seem like a lesser deal than in GoW.

I like how you talk about the lore/gameplay problem with God Of War. It seems like people don’t realise that they need to have Kratos nerfed for gameplay like needing ladders or not being able to jump over a wall. If the game was made in reference to the lore you wouldn’t be able to enjoy the game
Yeah, I'd say that scaling holds up. With characters like Kratos, where "godly power" is anywhere from citykiller to universal, and we can't powerscale by size feats like in Dragonball for ecample, it gets kinda tricky, But I'd say you handled it well. I agree; he could defeat the demigods and maybe even the elden beast, but ask him to slay an outer god and he'd have serious trouble.
the one biggest worry though/ What would stop Kratos from being infected with Scarlet Rot and then going mad as Radhan did? Scarlet rot being one of those things severely gimped in how it affects the player, but being the absolute WORSE in lore, with no known cure only ways to at best supress it
Love all the God of War fans who are mad at Elden Ring beating Ragnarok for GOTY trying to dispense their frustration in this comment section by claiming he could solo one shot the Elden Ring universe, so funny
I mean Radahn was actually stopping stars. He prevented the moving of constellations. He just so happens to also be holding back giant meteors as well.
I love Elden Ring but… I’ve seen every boss in Elden Ring get basically one shotted by a mute 5’5” maidenless virgin with a hammer. The tarnished take 3 or 4 hits and they are dead and they have no resurrection stone. While Kratos has been killed 3 times and brought back to life by either physically dragging himself out of a hellish dimension or getting a magic boost from someone. Kratos has fought his way through time and space and conquered multiple lands. Kratos fell from the sky and survived, the Tarnished tripped over a rock and died after 10 feet. *Kratos laughs in realm shift as the tarnished tries to bloodhound step away*.
Regarding time-breaking situations, we should look at how the battles play out. The boss's effects on time affect its surroundings in such a way that time is perceived in the way that we do as the player controlling the character. If a boss that affects time is glitching around at blistering speeds when our character fights them, then that's the speed we scale to. If the boss is a slow lumbering oaf, of our character is the one spazzing around, then that's used in scaling.
And that’s just him with the shards of the Elden ring. Imagine him with the weapons found in the lands between. He would apply every single buff in the game to himself and then apply ever single status effect to any boss that is unlucky enough to come face-to-face with him.
I wonder if that means that radagon or marika could beat Kratos if they just squared up with him before freeing Destin death. Since apparently he couldn’t overwhelm immortality and without him going to beat Maliketh both of them would be immortal. there’s a reason why she’s called the eternal
Few things to add/correct: Radhan's constellation holding feat: This is a massive feat as the stars are actually a form of destiny (fate) of beings, including the beings on radhan's level like Ranni, which meant he also froze his own destiny. The stars are also a form of outer god influence or a form of extreme power beyond normal mind comprehension (as the people who created magic or star magic were able to observe something in the stars along with their own destiny or observe nothing but the void). The former being an assumption since even though the later is confirmed, the former is not outside of certain enemies/bosses coming from the stars. Which is also related to a form of outer gods attempting to invade the lands in between and the moon (which I won't touch on). So quiet literally radhan is on the level comparable to the gods when he was sane. Able to technically defy the golden order. This also means that- All the gods scale around that level, with demi gods to match. and that the scarlet rot is a vastly emped up version of Melenia, who won/forced a draw using the scarlet rot. Further more: Destined death causes death. It's not instant death it just inflicts death. Which causes immortal beings to become mortal or well killable, and it can be used even on specific aspects like the soul or body (which resulted in deathblight and ranni's puppet body respectively). I genuinely cannot explain it either because it just makes it so that you die or pushes you towards death. All in all, I don't think kratos would win/survive in the elden ring world once he starts hitting certain demi god bosses. (mainly those playing around their respective elements/gods power). Though that's only if he doesn't make use of the rune or is excluded from the rules of Elden ring. If he get's to use their powers and abilities then yeah he would overcome everything.
@@SnorlaxBear by lore. No. Godfrey is basically what the player character is. A demigod hunter, a god slayer, except for the golden order. The man lead a war to conquer most of the middle lands with massive success. Pushing back against all forms of outer god encroachment and defeating gods, godly avatars, creatures from beyond, and he even did that while the concept of death was still prevalent so unlike the player character who get to enjoy trying till they succeed, he did that in 1 life and for the most part he appears completely fine when he was faced. The man is basically kratos for elden ring. A legend that you can't kill and will win. So no I don't think Radhan wins, prime or post scarlet rot.
@@outerheaven4384 I only mentioned 1 feat and if we're comparing feats. Radhan's is better since he controlled the fates of god like beings who each could control the universe or have mutliuniversal influence. The feats kratos has just does not match the insanity of lore accurate elden ring.
Most definitely especially when almost everything in the lands between is weak to fire. I love how many mythologies was related in landscape between,I can totally see him actually encounter and discovering the lands between. The only people I can see having an honorable fight with godfrey and radahn, although I think horah loux could give him quite a challenge. And rychard could be potent danger since he devours gods
Others have said it before, but it makes sense that Kratos is really a God of Rage. Like a Greek hulk he becomes more powerful by embracing anger & hate. It helps explain why he's weaker in the latest games: he's actively resisting his source of strength. But his real strength is his adaptability. He is always utilizing the magic/ weapons & tactics of whatever enemy he faces. Without a reason to hold back his rage besides just self control he'd definitely fuck shit up
The Blades of Chaos burn with primordial fire, which is how they were able to still work between GoW 3 and GoW 2018. I forget if the Erdtree is primordial or not, or if the Greater Will is primordial, but if it isn't, the Blades of Chaos should be able to burn the Erdtree.
Here's the thing. Greek Kratos might take a while to adapt to the legends, gods, and people, while Norse Kratos would be much quicker since the environment is a little closer to what he's used to. Either way, we know the final outcome, The God Of War will fight another pantheon
I'd personally say the Demigods get pushed over, but once Maliketh and the real Gods come into play Kratos would find that the strength of Runes would be helping him out far more than his original power, and so it'd be like if the Tarnished started out at like, level 60 with equivalent equipment. Yeah, his power would be substantial at the beginning, could solo the Demigods well enough, but you still gotta level up, boy.
An important thing to remember is that in Fromsoft's games, they've demonstrated that before distinction is brought about in the universe, entities are capable of living in this state of gray oneness. True dragons are one such type of creature.
Outer One is outer. Primordials in GoW only affect their pantheons universe. There’s no overlap. Outer one created all of existence. Outerversal. Elden Beast 1 dinks Kratos without runes

1. I said it doesn't matter if you think Old Kratos is weaker or stronger than Young because it just doesn't. I also want to placate to both sides as it is somewhat debated about in a lot of spaces and didn't want this video to focus on Kratos vs Kratos when it wasn't important.

One peculiar thing about Kratos is that, as a God of War, he gets stronger the more he fights - he's practically a Broly in that regard. So I imagine the world and enemies of Elden Ring would be like a never-ending stream of zenkai boost for him.

The Elden beast feat is multi solar system-universal at best.
the world tree yggdrasil trancends the concept of space-time, thor splintered it and kratos tanks an fp thor.... that's a feat way beyond infinite realities

@@AmsyarBrosku the Yggdrasil only transcends the notion of time and space and it’s not qualitatively superior to those said concepts.
Thats why he said interpretation and gave other arguments. He knew all that already.
Just like in the nordic world he had to find out interactions and wouldn’t just know that scarlot rot is cured with fire focused onto it
1:27 it's been confirmed that while he has more power than his younger self, he also shows much greater restraint.
But would he die?
Even if hes playing by the rules of the world hes escaped hell and even came back from death plus weve seen his fast healing

If Kratos is to head toward 'Destined Death' then he beats them all. He is literally the destroyer of fate/destiny.
He is the killer of fate not the destroyer well in, God of war Ragnarok he is the destroyer of fate so you’re technically right.
Destined death is just another name for it. It’s not literally destiny. It’s just called that. It’s more just the concept of death. Think about it like this, if something has the concept of death, then it will eventually die, i.e. be destined for death.
It’s also called the Rune of Death.

@@SentinalSlice I get that, Ranni explained it. I referencing his plot armor against all types of prophecies/fate/destiny from GOWR
This is an INSANE video idea!
Kratos slaughters the elden ring verse
Great video, and one point regarding the Outer Gods;
It is very safe to assume that they are akin to H.P.
Yeah I don’t go with such a high tier take on Elden Ring lore but it’s fun
Not really, he created a realm outside time and space who bounds all rules of reality just for himself to wait the return of his Outer God. Basically, he's on a parallel universe or dimension who is not affected by the rules of reality.
Yeah, dude created a demiplane with the aspect 'time-stopped'. Scaling him to infinite speed as a result is downright stupid, let alone doing the same for every boss that comes *after* him. TBH that's when the video lost any legitimacy as far as I'm concerned.

Seth is an elden ring lore channel now and I'm here for it.
not that I think it changes much but saying “Kratos is immune to scarlet rot, because he has the fire of gods within him” or something, I don’t think is super accurate.
It also wouldn't be the only 5th dimensional space as the Dragonlord Placidusax resides in one created by himself which makes higher dimensional feats seem like a lesser deal than in GoW.
so i count that theres 9 edtrees
I guess it depends how Destined Death or the godslayer flames damage him, that may be the best way to kill him in verse here.

Yeah, I'd say that scaling holds up. With characters like Kratos, where "godly power" is anywhere from citykiller to universal, and we can't powerscale by size feats like in Dragonball for ecample, it gets kinda tricky, But I'd say you handled it well.

I hope you do more Elden Ring scaling
Regarding time-breaking situations, we should look at how the battles play out. The boss's effects on time affect its surroundings in such a way that time is perceived in the way that we do as the player controlling the character. If a boss that affects time is glitching around at blistering speeds when our character fights them, then that's the speed we scale to. If the boss is a slow lumbering oaf, of our character is the one spazzing around, then that's used in scaling.
I think Odin in his prime (warring days before he switched his strength for knowledge) would be somewhere closer or could even be stronger than Zeus.
And that’s just him with the shards of the Elden ring. Imagine him with the weapons found in the lands between. He would apply every single buff in the game to himself and then apply ever single status effect to any boss that is unlucky enough to come face-to-face with him.
Now I’d love to see Kratos Vs. Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Dark Souls!
I wonder if that means that radagon or marika could beat Kratos if they just squared up with him before freeing Destin death.
Since apparently he couldn’t overwhelm immortality and without him going to beat Maliketh both of them would be immortal. there’s a reason why she’s called the eternal
Few things to add/correct:
Radhan's constellation holding feat: This is a massive feat as the stars are actually a form of destiny (fate) of beings, including the beings on radhan's level like Ranni, which meant he also froze his own destiny.
This also means that-
All the gods scale around that level, with demi gods to match. and that the scarlet rot is a vastly emped up version of Melenia, who won/forced a draw using the scarlet rot.

I love how you feel the need to specify that this isn't a build video.
True dragons are one such type of creature.
it’s also confirmed that older kratos is stronger than younger kratos. since the greek gods get stronger the more they age it makes sense
Outer One is outer. Primordials in GoW only affect their pantheons universe. There’s no overlap. Outer one created all of existence. Outerversal. Elden Beast 1 dinks Kratos without runes
