You are one assertive lady. Bravo to you! Thank you for sharing this and keeping it real 💯

I love that you shared this! How do you deal w/ jealous women? In your experience, does having an assertive attitude ever come off the wrong way to other women? Or do women ever react negatively towards you for it?

I love your channel and the positivity to bring. You're going to make an amazing attorney, and I know the team that does get to work with you will enjoy coming to work.

I'm not an attorney, but there's one in our family. You've got such brilliant advice, considering how Incredibly Young you appear! Much success throughout your career. Greetings from N.Kentucky USA 🇺🇸.

    Thanks. Agreed.
Although Kill somebody with kindness and “I hope you have the day you deserve” don’t go together.
I’d like to see your thoughts on how to deal with rude clients that are uncooperative about their own cases, can’t deal with them😢 Don’t know how to educate them

These are some good, on the surface tips. Usually when a paralegal start's off (assuming the paralegal has gone to school & has earned certification) only knows theory & not actual job experience, will not know what to expect or do. you learn these skills at work. And as time progresses (when you're a paralegal for approx 5yrs) you earn more skills. As to being too nice & putting your foot down, I have to disagree. When you are new to the game & have no legal experience, you must be nice & demonstrate an eagerness to learn & want to aid the attorney in what he/she needs. This shows your desire to learn & show how a valuable asset you are. As for attorney's having egos, most have egos, but because they busted their butts for 4 yrs in law school, which by the way is not easy. And yes, a legal assistant or paralegal should demonstrate assertiveness because an attorney doesn't have the time to look for info which the assistant/paralegal should know. Also, it's more of the fact that if the paralegal questions what he/she did makes the attorney nervous & question you the paralegal. And overall attorneys depend on their paralegals/legal assistance to do a good job because at the end of the day the attorney's Bar license is on the line & not the paralegal. Thus, this is why attorneys are always on edge. I know this for a fact because I've been a paralegal & now, I've entered/receive my JD in law school.... atty in progress. But good luck to all of you wishing a career in this field. It's very fulfilling, rewarding, & hard work!

yes, I was with a criminal defense attorney for almost a year and a half and I really enjoyed it but the people I worked with were really mean. So I just started a another job as a legal assistant/paralegal for a Workmen's Comp. and personal injury. And it is a lot more to learn. Plus my office uses paper files lol. we save stuff to the server but it's a lot of paper. I keep trying to tell myself that I will pick it up and learn, but I know it's gonna take me a while.;(

Very true- showing insecurities is a big no,no. I just got thrown under the bus by a senior paralegal because I’m new and still learning. Sucks.

I’m sorry ˙◠˙ i feel like getting cut slack because of being new is so wishy washy in the legal field because it depends on how graceful the person above you is. It’ll get better just keep doing your best
