This was followed by the realization that I actually have enough knowledge and experience to follow everything you presented in this video. I just haven't known how to organize my workflow effectively: I've been like a guy with a car that I hitched up to horses. I've been using what must be a very early version of Symphonic Orchestra Platinum with Play -- this orchestral sample set is much larger than mine, and is more sanely organized, and Opus makes it even easier. The Opus Play/Automation/MIDI Controller Mapping panel is pretty much worth the cost of Opus: any time I would dare to try to use a new sample, I had to drag out the documentation to see what controllers were available, and that often took me through different sections of the manual before I had a full picture. After this tutorial, I immediately signed up for Composer Cloud. Thank you for this, and the other tutorial walk-throughs you've supplied.
A very inspiring video. I’m a complete beginner to scoring and Opus. I’ve just signed up for the Composer loud subscription. Can’t wait to get stuck in but am currently a bit overwhelmed. 😊

Ryan uses his own choice of instruments, but the EW library is so large, it takes a lifetime to learn all the instruments. Add the filters and other settings in your DAW and find out the complexity. This was a very helpful session, but I need some time to grasp it all....
I would really like to know what kind of MAC you are using. I see a 70 GB RAM load of tools and a PROCESSOR load of only 10 percent. What kind of car is this ? 163 tracks and real-time video capture and not a single artifact in the sound. Please share information about the equipment that you use. I will be very grateful.

Fantastic, I am very new to the subscription service and still at a download and learn stage for every instrument, so this was truly revealing to me as to what can be done with these brilliant products. But in the meantime, it’s back to the downloads and finding out what all of this can do ?
Great video and really nice piece! I love what you've done with it. One question: What is the keyboard/MIDI controller you're using? I can't quite make out the name at the far end.
In case you haven't thought of this, you can download a bunch of free TH-cam nature or travel videos. and practice scoring. You can remove the audio easily. My experience has been that scoring to picture is easier than trying to compose something from a melody or part of one from your head, especially if one hasn't a firm idea of what you want. This is a great way to improve as you can often just focus on 30 seconds or so of music to suit a specific segment. Then move on to another segment. Don't overstress if the music doesn't seem to fit 100%. What's important for now is that you get something down in your DAW. Try to do this with an aim of 2-3 minutes of music per day, or as often as you can.
Don’t underestimate the genius creativity going on inbetween this man’s ears. Oozing talent. The tools just help.
