Hey Charles, thank you so much for stopping by, I'm so glad you took the time to listen to the older videos! Cliff is one of my all-time heroes, it was a way to pay tribute to someone I admire and look up to. I hope you keep coming back to the channel. Cheers, bud
This is pretty epic all around! The animation makes me sad as hell but it’s so spot on. The added bass doesn’t sound like an anomaly, but seems totally perfect! This is kind of perfect!
Man these mixes are so great. Makes the thin clippy single track of Jason’s Wal sound thick and lush. Any chance you would be willing to post just the bass track with your mix? Would love to hear that in isolation. For all AJFA tracks you’ve mixed.
Thanks, Brian! I wish I could. I did all the ones I had access to: One, The Shortest Straw, Dyers Eve, Blackened. I'm chasing AJFA (the song) now, let's see how it goes! Cheers
@@evancole6852@evancole6852 yes I agree, if in ajfa original mix the bass was audible, that album would be the best album of Metallica in my opinion, but even so I love that album.
great, but in retro spec,,, when i first heard And Justice back in 1988, we did nt even noticed the bass was missing,,, and it kind of defined the sound of this album ,,, it s like if my brain says it needs bass, but my heart love the original sound of the album...
I see what you're saying, Metal Band Spy... it's like getting used to something through familiarity! Thank you for watching the video! Talk to you soon \m/
This version is so much better as the original version. Justice was awesome album but if I could back then hear the bass like that I would even become a bigger Jason Newsted fan!!
Exactly how this album SHOULD have sounded!! I think Jason's bass playing intimidated the hell out of the Angry Midget Drummer... Jason is so precise and clean and the Angry Midget Drummer...... ???
Excelent! I love this version you did. But it doesn't sound too much like Steve Harris, there's no beats at the microphone and that chorus sound of the iron maiden bass! This version of yours sounds more like Jason Newsted using his pick and an amplifier with ampeg sound! But it so good either way, and justice for Jason!
Hi Ennio, I totally get what you're saying. My point with Steve Harris was that I began the mix by only having the bass fader up, everything else was muted. I remember Nicko saying that Iron Maiden is centered around the bass, it is the foundation, so I followed the same rationale with this song. Thanks for stopping by, cheers!
@@alextamulis no problem Alex, you're welcome. Now I get it. In this sense, you're right. There's no doubt that this mix you did is centered on the bass. And you did it very well! My first Metallica record was and justice for all, so it's a relief to me listening this record that practically didn't have a bass, with bass no, no needing for a Metallica remix or remaster. Good job
Dude, I can't thank you enough, the fact that someone out there likes this type of content is what truly matters to me. The video is eerily similar to the song, this is what's awesome about the internet, haha. Cheers, bro!
@@alextamulis nah man, I should be thanking you for blessing us with this mix on YT. Seriously sounds amazing. I didn't mention this previously, but the editing on the video to match what's going on in the song and the transitions are incredible too. Hearing the riff of the song while a bottle flows through a sewer oddly feels rightfully badass There will always be people here for content like this, remember that man. Take care
THIS SOUNDS LIKE METALLICA WHEN THEY MADE GREAT ALBUMS. NOW THEY JUST MAKE GOOD SONGS. FROM SCULLY LFC COME ON YOU REDS YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE LFC FOREVER.
Yes, this is the first I've heard with the bass sounding proper. I have away the black album and haven't bought a metallica album since. Why? I guess because it never sounded that good for bass since.
I like the kinda gorillaz music video style great job maybe turn the bass down a touch just so it doesn’t over shadow the guitar and vocals but it can still give the oomph
Andromahlius, I got the lyrics from Metallica.com and it says "whipping", all other lyrics channels also say so. Flames sort of whip, they flicker and waver. I think fire will begin whipping up, people will be forced to to a "danse macabre", trying to escape in vain, but the world will be consumed by the fire and it will become carbon/soot (blackened). Thank you for watching!
Probably would’ve made me like Metallica a lot more if they would’ve just raise the goddamn bass guitar and not flooded with so much guitar what’s up with that? Always been a weak point in Metallica. All about prominent and dominant bass
Lol lars’s snare here sounds like a clap. But i love the sound of the bass (lars should deserve this mix Idc if he is gonna say that his snare will sound shit, but it sounds perfect enough)
The bass is too fucking loud. It doesn't make aesthetic sense in the mix, since the original guitars are already eating up so much of the low frequency end. Their scooped EQ curve can't compete with the volume level needed to make the bass parts standout (since the bass parts are just mirroring the guitars 99% of the time). It makes the guitars sound tiny, and frankly the bass parts, while played like a machine, are fucking boring.
@@AnibalAvelar I totally respect your opinion but I like it this way so much better. But I also always loved hearing bass so I am a little bit biased 😉
This is the best mix of Blackened I have EVER heard!
Thank you so much, dude! Cheers
Great sound! It does this album a lot of " Justice ! "
Animals and people switched places - that's a great concept 😊
Animals as leaders! But acting humanly (some humans at least). I'm glad you liked the video Ivan, thanks for commenting \m/

It's not that good. Bass is too loud. Every 'remix' made by amateurs have the same problem.

the best mixed of Blackened! , the bass make the song most heavy
