Apparently, there are people out there spreading rumours that I was paid to do this review. Don't fall for it. I've never been paid for doing any review. In fact, every product I've ever reviewed leading up to this one I've given away to my Patreon subscribers. On top of that, I earn very little money from TH-cam advertising on these review videos. Dumb that I need to say this, but here we are.
If you get an Africa twin or nt1100 then it comes with apple carplay or android auto. Means there’s no additional phone etc to be mounted on the handlebars or having to be removed every time you jump off. Also it’s controlled via the handlebar controls. Works brilliantly for google maps or calimoto. Plus I can listen to music too.
5:34 "I don't have space in my Handlebar to fit the unit" - I see the Handlebar - WTF was that a Joke!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! There is TON of space!!
what is the size of the ball mount on the back of the unit? If not a 1" will one be available to make it compatible with various ram mounts?
Unfortunately it seems you didn't test the blind spot aspects of this, from what I have seen in other reviews, it offers visual warnings and well as audio if you select it in the settings. Seemed to be a pretty good feature to have.
So question, if using the Carplay / Andriod Auto, will the Blind Spot feature still work on top of it ?
I have a Carplay 10" screen in my Pick up truck. But i only paid $140 CDN$ for it. These guys are asking almost $400 U$ They will have to seriously drop the price for this to sell well. Adding Carplay was great in the truck. But these designers need to make the mounting points the same dimensions as the RAM Mounts.
It's not directly comparable to your carplay unit. This unit includes the dash cams, blind sport monitoring and is built to be used with gloves on as well as to be durable enough to withstand a motorcycle environment with vibration, water, wind, dust, temperature fluctuation and theft attempts.

Those are nice bars. Could you not get the display more centered, by moving the arm? You should put the cameras centered. Maybe run the rear under the fender, then the front one on the bottom triple tree. Are you not able to put addresses or names into Google Maps, from the display? And would you post a video, on how you integrated the switch, with this unit?
If you didnt have the dark horse touch screen speedometer, would you say this is a good replacement for it?
Yes I would! I don't know of any other device that offers the features of this unit and it really feels like a quality piece of equipment.
Looks good but at $894AUD it will be sitting on the shelves for a long time. They are 10 years late with the tech. A contact in the Philippines will be able to ship one out for under $150 as they are listed at 23,500 Philippine pessos
I find that difficult to believe as they haven't even shipped and won't until February. I just purchased one at a significant discount to use in the Philippines actually and I can't find a reasonable generic camera system for under $150 so I have trouble believing your post.

@@matthewrafferty4117 I’m not so sure they are for what they offer. Cheap camera systems are $150, add to the the gps, bluetooth, warning system, car play/android, parking security, and exclusive things like the tire pressure and bike internals. There’s nothing out there like it. I just bought it from indiegogo as it’s still available for 38% off for early bird backers. I’m sure it will go down over time, but 38% off seemed reasonably priced when I added a few extras.
I guess it all depends on the quality and durability. You get what you pay for.... this price point is in line for other motorcycle GPS units like the Garmin XT although this offers blind spot detection, front/rear cameras with video and photo functions, TPMS monitoring, integrated music, SD card for storage of files, Hard wired (no cradle/pin issues), and OBD integration for select motorcycles. I am sure prices will come down as others copy it (e.g. Carpuride) but for now, this appears to be a decent option. I just got it installed so time will tell.
@h There are others out there that are cheaper, they do not offer detection, or theft protection, or recording in the event of an accident. So paying a premium for premium coverage seems fair to me. If people like the orginal poster Matt want to have a cheaper option, use your phone and have a fraction of what this offers...enjoy!
How many nits brightness is the screen Paul?
Website says 1200 nits (1200 cd/m2)

I like the idea a lot. But it’s just too expensive and I will have to wait for these to drop in price. Nice review too, with the useful installation.
Additionally I would never use the clamp over cable clips as they can cause intermittent connection. Always better to use vehicle connectors or to solder the connections.
Great product, but the cost and the fact that everything on the website (at least from the US says pre-order), why review it if it is not available?
