@@tatertot64 Idk about eva, but the mangaka just kept complaining about the liberties Anno took whit the adaptation, that's why he left before finishing it and there are some random half-episode recaps in the anime.
@@Dedu_ right thats what I was familiar with. I'm not sure what specifically the mangaka took issue with, but the anime isn't massively different from the manga anyway so who knows what the mangaka was concerned with.
@@tatertot64 The changes Anno wanted to make most likely had to be reverted after the complaints of the mangaka, explaining the amount of recaps (due to production slowdowns) and why it's not that much different in the end.

This anime is so beautiful. It's a shame Anno and the mangaka fell out; Anno is a prick but this is a beautiful show. Great English dub too!
