I didn't know that! All I have to do is grabbed the bowstring by reaching with upper body and not moving my right shoulder forward. Thanks! Have a good Christmas and have a good year of 2022!
THANK you!! So much archery advice is on technique and stuff, but it's so so important to start with the actual Kinaesthetics so that you don't accidentally injure yourself! I fucked my shoulder UP the first few times I picked up a bow because I made the mistake he highlighted in this video. thanks so much for the tips!
I shoot compound but this video is excellent and has really help to visualize the correct movement and focus point for my bow shoulder and structural support. Thank you for this content, I'm really glad folks can get expert insight from the info you share. Keep it up!
this has been incredibly helpful. thank you so much. I'm new and am struggling with the weight draw of my bow. Using your back and core to pull your draw shoulder to align your shoulders to the bow hand helps alot.
Been shooting Archery for 32 years now and I am still learning all the time. I get tips from Archers of all ages and stripes. Your videos really inspire me and give me a sense of great peace knowing the passion and disciplines are continuing and growing. I am pretty attached to my tools and methods but I am from the camp that "If you're hitting your mark and not hurting yourself or unintended targets, its not the wrong way". I despise the feel of a compound bow but to deny their place is just silly. String releases are awesome but if I want to aim with sights and pull a trigger, I will use a rifle. hahaha Recurve life for me.
My problem is my posture is good my alignment is good as well but as I am a beginner I am having problem while stretching that string till my chin what should I do
Have you tried the double arm draw technique? I learned this in Tai Chi and it is slightly different than what you are doing here but it allows you to align the shoulders back and chest symmetrically with timing while aligning the aim.
Nice video! What do you suggest if when someone has their shoulders in line, their head/neck is not able to rotate far enough to see the aperture? I feel good when I'm in line as you suggest, but then the aperture has just moved out of my field of vision.
Hey mate, thanks much for all your vids. QUESTION: When you demo to us shoulder alignment with the bands, your "bow hand" is often held somewhat sideways with bent wrist, or at least that is how it is looking to me, as if when you had a bow in your hand it would be extremely canted, thumb sideways instead of thumb-up. Doesn't this change the angle of the shoulder? So this is confusing to me.
Any tips if you are struggling to disconnect the hips from the thoracic rotation? I'm currently feeling a lot of tension in the hips/lower back and this seems to restrict my rotation in the shoulders.

Your Advice / Coaching is Brill and very much appreciated

Ashe, how much head movement is "acceptable" during the rotation? Is there such a thing?
Great video as always!
Does the thoracic/core twist apply to parallel stance?
Very good explanation. I will practice this before Vegas!
What a GREAT video. The BEST explanation and drill good for shoulder alignment I have seen. Thank you!

Great content as ever and a nice Christmas Eve treat. Merry Christmas Ashe, look forward to seeing your content in the new year.

I really like your videos n wants learn more 👌👍🙏
I watched many of your videos. Best channel for Archery to improve the technique. 👍Merry Christmas.
Good video. Thumbs up from Blue Dragon Archery (Home of the FALL Bow)
I ran into this issue as I shoot 80 to 100 pounds typically. My quad limb bows draw smoother than their 2 limb sisters though so it helps a little.
would you please to talk about how to fix the head when rotating the body? I can't help moving the head with the shoulders
Great knowledge transfer 👏 thank you
Thank you! Could you comment on relationship of this twist to angular vs linear draw and open/box/closed stance?

Again, exactly what I needed! Your videos are brilliant, thank you! Happy holidays and New Year! All the best to you and yours :)
Well done!
Merci pour cette vidéo super technique ! Joyeux Noël .
Hey, i recently switch to compound, and i want to ask if you should rotate body to achive shoulder alignment or you dont need to that in compound

Hello Ashe, just took a drone vid trying this idea.. seems to improve my posture - I am having som RH shoulder pain.. poor form?

Is what you’re talking about called a "Rotational Draw"?
Really tough to see if this translates to compound bows
Exclusive!
I was going to post a pic but cant.. maybe email to you?
Sangat berharap segera tersedia subtitle dalam Bahasa Indonesia.
I speed up the video with 50%. Good advices, but too much talk.
