  • In this video, we do a thorough unboxing, install and ride along review of the RiffRaff Diesel FXR kit for Ford 7.3 Powerstroke. This kit stops the deadhead issue with the stock fuel supply to the injectors
    Probably 1.5 - 2 hours to install yourself
    But yeahhhh, totally worth it.

    Thank you for the great detail/ patience you present to do this while including your audience in every step...way better than others I have watched where they abbreviated parts w/o showing us what they went through...YOURS IS BEST!!! 😊 TY

      Thank you! I struggled with some of the other videos and certain parts of them and felt compelled to make this video!

    Thank you for this awesome video walkthrough! I just finished installing a FRx on my (New to me) 2002 Excursion, and I seriously lost count on how many times I stopped to reference your video to ensure I was prepped with the right tool for the next step. Being new to the 7.3 powerstroke, you definitely saved my arse!

    I have the fuel rail crossover and the oil rail crossover and another 7.3 guy told me he thought I had the smoothest running 7.3 he’s ever heard. I did notice a touch better throttle response and it seems easier to pass people on two lane highways. I also did the intake heater delete and the exhaust back pressure valve delete.

    What makes doing things on the engine easier is removing the battery box, wheel, and well liner, it allows you to stand up next to the engine and reach every where with ease.
    I fractured my knee and have screws in the knee cap so bending, kneeling is out of the question for me.
    I just did HPOP high pressure hoses on my wife's lifted 2000 SD using that method, made life easier.

    I did the upgrade also and my 8th injector got really quiet and the rest of the engine I can hear the fan pushing air when revving motor versus diesel clattering sound. I’ve not had enough time to see if MPG increase but pedal response is much better. Also highway I’m barely touching pedal. 👍👍👍👍👍

    I just finished mine…I used an open end 8mm on the pipe plugs. Worked great, and I didn’t even need to loosen the fuel reservoir. Praise God Jesus!! Nice Video. Thanks

    Awesome video thank you so much for taking the time like this before I get into it! I have the turbo pulled right now to rebuild it and just installed my new ebpv deleted pedestal, should I do this install for the crossover fuel lines before I get the turbo in (few weeks) or do I need to cycle the engine a few times right away?

    • @bryanbuilt360
      @bryanbuilt360  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It would be a little easier to get the back fuel line in with the turbo out. Also, with the ebpv delete, XDP makes a little piece you can put in the old connector to stop the check engine light from coming on. My 94s ebpv is acting up, time to delete 😈

    • @frankiesfitness86
      @frankiesfitness86 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you sir I appreciate ya! I got a pigtail from riffraff for the ebpv delete that goes into that plug it cost $20 something I believe. You got all this done you’re gonna kick ass on the ebpv delete pedestal install also!!
      Is there a link to the special fittings you used for this install or should I just write them down from the video? Thanks for all your help!

    • @bryanbuilt360
      @bryanbuilt360  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@frankiesfitness86 shoot, I’m trying to remember if there was special fittings. Maybe special socket?
      Pretty sure everything came with the kit, I think the front passenger side was most difficult and making sure the banjo at the fuel pressure regulator lined up. Totally totally worth it!

    Nice video, I’m curious if the increased throttle response is from the increase to 70psi spring or from the x-over itself.

    • @bryanbuilt360
      @bryanbuilt360  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hands down the x made a huge difference. It takes out the dead heading and possible air bubble and evens the rails. I backed it up with the 70 spring for the TS-6 tuner to help with the increased consumption. I’ll bet you’re right, and I’m sure they work great together even in stock form

    Did you pick up anymore mpg on your return trip without the trailer?

    • @bryanbuilt360
      @bryanbuilt360  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If I’m honest, on the trip back I was excited for all the new power I was driving a little more aggressively. And I did for a week. After time, I did not see a huge improvement in mpg, but the drivability was incredible. Toying with the idea of maybe stepping down to the middle fuel pressure spring to see if that helps

    Little help needed I got the plug in the back by turbo little stripped while taking it off now I can't even put that socket on that plug I did order the socket that goes in it to take it off but there's that pipe in the way what should I do to get it off did u used a swivel rachet to take it off coz with a regular rachet I can't even put it on the socket please guide me a little bit coz I am running crazy with it and what kind of socket u used. Thank you

    • @bryanbuilt360
      @bryanbuilt360  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmmm, I know I took the rubber intake pipe out to get access to it. I more than likely was using a swivel head ratchet but I’d imagine with a short extension you can get in there with a regular ratchet? Take your time and if there is a way to get a file in there to be able to get the proper square socket on there start with that…

    Looks like a top side creeper would helped. Also while replaceing the valve cover gskts a friend suggested leave the bolts in the intake support bracket and take the ones out of the valve cover . I found much easier.
    Thanks for a great video. This will be my next upgrade along with the CCV mod. Since everything is apart.
