  • This past October, Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary rescued 10 wolfdogs and 3 sled dogs all at one time. These animals, who to no fault of their own, were are risk of being euthanized. Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary’s team responded to these animal’s calls for help and after 3,514 kilometers traveled, $1,852.60 in travel costs, and $8,603.83 in veterinary costs, we were able to rescue these 13 animals from this emergency situation.
Resulting from this being the largest rescue mission the Sanctuary’s team has undertaken at once, there is an unprecedented and unpredicted need to build 3 enclosures by spring 2021. The cost of building one of our enclosures can be very significant due to the specialized nature of our spaces and the need for professional services. The overall cost to build one of the enclosures that you see here at the Sanctuary can easily cost upwards of $50,000.
Please take a moment to view this video that highlights the From Alone to Home: Wolfdog Rescue Campaign as well as the Sanctuary, its animals, and the team that made it all possible.

I wish everyone who adopts any animal had the heart and soul of the founder of this sanctuary

I know it was lots of work putting together this documentary; here's to a million views. Bless you guys for the extraordinary work you're doing for the wolfdogs and to raise awareness for their plight.

Since I'm from the deep south, it's hard to imagine the cold where your sanctuary is. How do you keep the non-wolfdogs there warm in the winter, please? 😂🐾🇨🇦🌎💙

Due to being part wolf, the wolfdogs have powerful coats that keep them warm during the winter! They actually prefer the winter time to the summer time and they are much more active in the cold weather!
We do have rescued horses and goats that are housed here at the Sanctuary. They are mostly content to stay outside during the winter, and we do have huts they can shelter in if it's too cold. The chickens also get a heated chicken coup so they stay nice and warm!

smh why some ppl think those are pets, they should be banned everywhere. Same with tigers ,bears ect. Its always the animal that has to suffer because of the ego of selfish humans that want a animal because it looks cool or because nobody else has it.
