As a person who loves trains, but isn't enough of an expert to know all about the different engines, cars, companies, etc., I really appreciate it when you flash a message about what special thing in particular we are looking at in these grab bags - thank you so much!
If you need help identifying something, post about it on social media and there's a good chance someone will come along and help you out! Also be sure to look for groups of railfans in your local area online.

Another reason for CSX to build a bypass in La Grange
You mentioned the Hapag-Lloyd engine that CP had painted up. The port of Saint John is about an hour from me. Cool to see it on a VRF grab bag video. :)
0:22 Nice catch of the Algoma Central Caboose. It's a shame that it got tagged by vandals. 2:58 A little bit of a race on the Mississippi between the two Riverboats. 9:00 Replacing or installing new track for a rail served customer I assume. 11:22 The foliage sure blends in well with the H2 and H3 paint schemes. 12:15 Pac Man Cylindrical Covered Hopper without a trace of graffiti. 13:07 How often does CSX run Coal trains through La Grange? 20:34 Did that marker say, "Please return to BNSF"? 23:00 Well at least those two dump trucks reacted very quickly and got out of the way.
About the Skykomish clip, the H2 SD70MAC was also pretty rare! SD70MACs alone are fairly rare here on Stevens Pass, and seeing an H2 MAC is even rarer, so that makes it a pretty cool capture!
When VRF sees something that is amiss, such as flames coming from the side of a locomotive (as seen in minute 14 of this video), does anyone have the ability to reach out to the railroad to report it?
nope. VMT has announced she's staying over the winter. The rumor going around is the cost to bring her home is a reason, but also she needs a few inspections/minor maintenance done, so they're keeping her there.
@@nikerailfanningttm9046 Eh, true, but technically those are ATSF schemes. If we're talking about predecessor schemes too, then there's Warbonnet, Bluebonnet, and Yellowbonnet (although no yellowbonnets are in revenue service anymore) on the ATSF side. On the BN side is Cascade Green, the elusive "tiger stripes" (unfortunately all repainted) and the SD70MAC Executive/Grinstein livery.
Then there is: "Pardon me boy, is this the Transylvania Station." "Yah, Yah, track 29. Can I gif you a shine?" Gene Wilder has surprised/confused look.

Rumors have it that the N&W 611 will spend the winter in the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. Can anyone confirm this?
611 is remaining at Strasburg RR for the winter.
yes, confirmed by both VMT and SRC
@@micheller2029 Thanks
👍👊😎
What happened to 611?
At 23:27 let's hope it's the first of a rash of in cab cameras going into self destruction mode.
23:27 is the end of the show. To what are you referring?
yeah like what the heck are you pointing out.
The 611 will be heading home soon

Does anyone know all the livery names for BNSF?
H1, H2, H3, and H4 (H4 is also known as Yard H3, basically just H1 with black instead of dark green and the swoosh logo)
