Arnett was set up to fail. MSU wasn’t prepared for a legit coaching search after Mike Leach died, so they gave the keys to an inexperienced interim until they could execute a better prepared search. Arnett didnt help himself by taking a team that was built to run a Mike Leach offense and have them run a balanced attack, but he was just keeping a seat warm until this offseason. A&M firing Jimbo just caused MSU to expedite things a few weeks.

I don’t get some (not necessarily this show) that act like aTm should be a national playoff team? Why? They’ve had no history of success in football so why should every act like they are severely underperforming? Ok they have the obscene money and recruiting hotbed but there is no consistent past where aTm has been an elite football program. At most people should expect an occasional 10-win season but anything above that is not warranted.
The entire money fiasco must say something about college football and the tuition that the plain old non-athlete American History major pays for their education.
