Not a chance! For the simple reason that what you have proposed is good and sensible idea that will create a link over Dartmoor connecting Okehampton to Tavistock and onto Plymouth. When was the last time that the Government had a good idea?
Well of course, there is an election coming up and the South West has this strong Liberal franchise which might just influence the way the Conservatives and Labour think about this. I read that reinstating it would cost £700m, which seems relative chicken feed to me when you consider what 2 aircraft carriers cost (£6.2bn, Nov. 2013 estimate).
Really good film. Dartmoor looks stunning and it's good to have film of how it was as a heritage line. Hopefully that can restart one day
What a treat ! Great video.
I sincerely hope this line comes back to life again. Road travel is no joke these days.
This route should never have been closed in the first place. They are always having trouble along the Dawlish sea wall in the winter
Open to Oakhampton, next stage to Plymouth.
So many of these routes destroyed...so glad this line is finding new life again...well done.
Let's hope that more people use the line now than did immediately prior to the withdrawal of regular scheduled passenger trains in 1972!
will this line now re-open after the GWR line's woes this winter?

There is still talk of the line fully reopening!
they shut down two many lines.
Why waste millions on Dawlish? Spend it on a Tavistock and Plymouth line AND Launceston and a new line across Bodmin Moor to Bodmin Road.
