Lovely footage shame they had to shut down this part of track to the viaduct, GWR could have kept it maintained for charters when they reinstated Okehampton station.
Thank you for the kind comment. The wind noise and stock ownership conversations rendered some of my sound as useless but I couldn't discard the footage.
Nice part of England. I travelled along here a few years ago when they had the diesel electric multiple unit ' The Thumper'. I think it was a class 205 Hampshire Unit. Such a lovely engine sound they had. Does anyone know where it is now and who owns it?
How did you do this, I think the birdsong was recorded at an aviary, even in the tunnel and it was added in post-prodoction, and the sound of the Class 08' the carriages, the guard's van and the bikes was taken out - in short you used a silent film.
It is, my apologies, I should of balanced the sound correctly. I honestly thought it wouldn't matter as no-one was gonna watch it. I have no idea why everyone is watching it now ? There were other people on the train discussing ownership of the rolling stock and the rest was ruined by wind noise.

They need to reopen the rest of that line
A very nice video like the bird song too. Don't hear any where I live since they cut them down to build a housing estate.

I did indeed ride on the 205 Thumper before coming back to film this journey. I do wish I had filmed it at the time.
The reopening could lead to more reopenings.
That class 08 is remarkably silent, even when passing through that short tunnel?!
I did try to film the sound but the wind noise corrupted most of it. Very nice locomotive.

Views must have been good when lineside vegetation controlled.
Song Thrush singing but little else sound wise!
18:23 saw that carriage moved today for removal tomorrow
Shame it's all grown over now and abandoned
good video, shame about not having the noise from the 08 and track joint sounds, the bird song is a little over powering

Who owns the rolling stock ?
All been sold now.
