mk4 was before mk gold, it's mileena fatality tooked from reiko. mileena, kung lao, sektor, cyrax, baraka and kitana wasn't in mk4, and im glad there two versions, original mk4 and garbage mk gold with awful characters. mk 4 is classic, way better than mk gold.
