No 4 is pretty dangerous. The heat just builds up and you can burn yourself pretty easily. And there's a pretty big chance of the battery overheating and exploding

All misinformed people saying that AA batteries explode if shorted, just *stop*! AA Batteries *RARELY* explode if shorted - that's how they are designed. This doesn't mean AA's never explode, because they do - usually *only* when charging incorrectly or excessively. Judging by the average age of the commenters, it comes as no surprise I suppose. Oh and *Hoverboards* use a completely *different* type of battery to AA's (it should be blatantly obvious)

WD40 is not corrosive; WD means water dispersor. The thing is that after clean with WD 40, you have to put new grease to the chain.
