I can't believe you were round the corner from my hoose! I live round the corner from The Prestonfield House Hotel. They are the loveliest neighbours. The owner, Mr Thomson, puts on "street parties" for the neighbouring streets, when the Royals have a special day (i.e. Kings Coronation) and they hand deliver the invites. We were expecting a wee sarnie and a cup of tea.......instead we were gifted a whole afternoon with a brass band, delicious sandwiches, pies, cakes, fizz, wine, an ice cream van, face painting, sweetie stalls etc, all gifted freely to us all. The Heiland Coos are fabulous, and we often wander around the grounds to visit them and the stunning peacocks. I'm so happy you had a lovely stay. We are very lucky where we live x

I spent 2 weeks touring castles, stone circles and distilleries including Balmoral and Royal Lochnager Distillery. We also took the train to Edinburgh. We loved every minute. Scotland is a beautiful country. It’s so nice that you were finally able to take this trip.

I love how you present the historical information of all the places you visit. You give so much information, but it doesn’t feel like you’re being lectured at at all. I think because it comes from such an emotionally happy and excited place in you that it’s easy to get swept up in the excitement of it too. Though that’s not very hard to do with me because I absolutely love history And many of the same reasons that you say you do. I have spent quite a lot of time in Scotland and Edinburgh, but I feel like I’ve never been when I watch your videos there because you teach me so much. Definitely my favorite place on earth.
