    Thank you so much! I have a Bosch SHP65TL5UC/07 and got an e09 error. After watching your video I got the pump #12008381 off Amazon for about $100. Had to buy an hose clamp but that's it. I turned my whole dishwasher on its side which made installing the new pump much easier but got a new error e15, which is water inside the machine indicating a leak. I think when I tipped machine on its side some residual water moved into base of unit so I would add to this video, look around entire base plate of unit and dry up and water that has pooled with a towel. After that machine works like new. Thank you so much, you saved me hundreds of dollars and a lot of headache. Plus now I have the confidence to fix other things myself! Thanks again!

    Wow that really helped. I think I had more time in research than the actual repair. I think it was 45 minutes total time even with some little mishaps. The simplest thing of plugging the orange and black connectors in really eat my lunch. I actually had to pull the unit out after having it installed to look at why I could not get them plugged in. My advise is the black one goes in first and then the orange one last. You can actually plug the orange one in off-set and then the black one will not go in. Found that out the hard way.
    Thanks for posting this as it was a huge help and made this job go really well.

    Very direct, thank you. I had called a repair guy, as I couldn’t get the silly “permanent spring clip” off. He helped me along & told me there was a new clip with the part; sure enough, it was just caught in the valve. The clip release was way on the underside, so I turned the pump & could access the release. The repair guy was so impressed I was taking it on myself, he offered me a job. LOL Honestly, I don’t know how guys get access in some of these areas. Females hands & fingers are so much smaller.

    Thank-you so much! We had the E09 fault on our Bosch dishwasher and your video gave me the exact steps to repair it. Tip: The hoses were long enough to remove the machine without disconnecting the water or waste.

    I did this repair! I’ve done a few other appliance repairs and this wasn’t the easiest, but it was mostly related to the position you had to put yourself in. My order of the new part left out the new clamp so we bought a c-clamp at hardware store. Running the first express round and will check for leaks before we put trim pieces back! To get the old motor off, I found the clamp impossibly tight, so I did gentle wiggling and was able to get enough looseness to slide off the original clamp. Getting the control panel loose was harder than it looked bc I didn’t want to damage it. Thanks for empowering me to do this! UPDATE: Ran an express load and pulled out, NO LEAKS!

    Thanks, great video! I have just removed the broken pump (checked the resistance with a multimeter) and waiting for the replacement to arrive home. The only doubt is why this is happened? Filter was really clean, the engine in the pump was working fine and I didn't see any problem until the E09 appeared. I hope it was the age of the dishwasher (8.5 years old) that made this possible, otherwise I am worried it can happen again soon.

    • @ScottTheFixItGuyChannel
      @ScottTheFixItGuyChannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      You’re right, it’s just age related. Bosch went with a new type of circulation pump that has a heater added to it.
      The wire used for the heating element is too thin and breaks causing a no Heat dishwasher.

    • @rens73
      @rens73 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel Thanks, I actually removed also the heating element inside the pump as I wanted to see where it happened. I found several burned points, I suppose one of them was the culprit and the problem was just ready to happen. Quite annoyingly it happened the 1st day of the year :D
      I have seen some videos that explain some ways to repair it, but it will change the resistance and I am a bit worried that can cause problems to other parts of the machine. So, I will just stick with the original plan and change the whole piece thanks to your video.

  • @RobDewis
    @RobDewis 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This was very clear and helped me fix this problem. I've had this Bosch for 2 and 1/2 years and never loaded it with un-rinsed dishes - yet still the heat pump failed. Couldn't find any stuff in the one I took out, so not sure why it would fail. After two Bosch dishwashers with problems (earlier one had a plastic handle that broke and replaced twice in five years - very poor design flaw) and this one never completely dries the dishes like my last one did (although it was a Bosch). I'm inclined to invest in another company after this one, but wonder if none of them are as good as they used to be. They've gotten fancier and more complex, with more options to fail, I guess. Thanks for your very clear instructions. $100 and 2 hours of work later I'm sure I saved $300 in labor, and have the satisfaction of knowing it was fixed right.

    Great video, thanks. I have a Neff S511A50X1G/48 and just fixed it following this guide. I managed to do it without pulling the dishwasher out though - there is a front panel below the door I could remove and there was /just/ enough space to do the repair through there. • @Mark_Glanville
      @Mark_Glanville 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dad Dancing - It was only a few screws, the outer shell of the pump is the heater and that is a press fit into the pump intake with a rubber seal, the only trouble I had was with that seal. First try it leaked a little so I took it back out and apart and used a little Vaseline on the seal. No more leak after that and its been a few months now. You might be able to solder the connector without taking the pump apart because there’s a opening in the case at the connector.

    Good video, it helped alot. My heat pump lasted 6 years from new, I would like to know if other Bosch owners experienced longer or shorter life from their heat pump. Your video mentioned a clogged filter as a possible cause for failure. I noticed during my repair another possible reason for failure. The inlet screen was clogged with rust and sediment from the water supply. I soaked the screen in a lime and rust cleaner for five minutes and it was good as new.

    Thanks for this video, it was a huge help in my successful dishwasher fix! Slightly different model so had to go in through the front, but wouldn’t have even thought have attempting it without your video.

    This is the best video I have seen on repairing/replacing the heater pump (I have looked at quite a few of them). Much more detail and advice than any of the others I have looked at on TH-cam. It gave a number of subtle tips that made this job much easier to accomplish. Thank you. I now have a fully working dishwasher again.

    Thanks, it worked very well. Not sure why, the first time I started the dishwasher the cord become really hot and it actually burned the fuse after 15 minutes. I double checked everything and didn't find any problem. So, I supposed must have been something stuck somewhere or the cord not connected properly. I ran another 2 washing, longer and hotter this time, and everything was fine. Hope 5 quid are enough for a pint where you live ;)

    Excellent video that guided me through the process of replacing a Bosch circulation motor, easy when you know what bits to take off. Unfortunately for me once the motor was replaced it didn't clear the E09 fault which was very frustrating.

      Interesting,

      @martincday007 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel Thanks, I thought it might be the temperature sensor but no idea where that is. Unfortunately I have come to the view that just buying the parts makes this machine uneconomic to repair. Just five years old but turns out to be cheaper to replace that repair.

      I agree Martin,
      It’s sad that Bosch Dishwasher’s have dropped to such a low level.
      They actually used to be one of the best ones you can get.

      @martincday007 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance Just an update on this, I eventually got round to borrowing a multi-meter to test the original water circulation pump and testing confirmed that there was a fault with the heater element. I also tested the replacement part which passed so I am not sure now why fitting the replacement didn't fix the problem.

    This video couldn't have come at a better time - my Bosch SHE68T56UC/09 stopped heating, would skip 30 minutes or more of the cycle, and give me the E09 error. The dishwasher in your video is identical to mine on the inside, so I ordered the part (#12008381) and decided to give it a go. You easily saved me a couple hundred dollars in repair costs. Thank you!!

    Thanks for the great video. E09 error coincided with tripping the RCD circuit. £80 from Amazon for the heat pump. My six year old Siemens dishwasher was just like the one in the video except that the cover on the control unit was clipped at one end and trick to prise off. Other than that simple enough to swap the pump even for a novice like me. Better than buying a new dishwasher.

      Hi, thanks for comment. I am also getting E09 error in Siemens dishwasher.
      My question is,
      Is this error due to RCD circuit or due to pump? How you found this defective part? Thank you so much.
