@@JubioHDX in my experience playing completely blind, it's actually very possible to get a lot of songs at the start perfect on your first go (I only started getting consistent misses in heaven world). @@AlonMoiseyev It's awful from the perspective of a musician, but hilarious otherwise.

even as someone well versed in music, it took me way too many tries to finally internalize the rhythm and on-demand change between on and off beats in the original. rt is truly an insane person by playing rhythm games based solely on visual queues
Actually easier to do that instead of trying to find the rhythm though
@@bertsteinich depends on the person, honestly
@@bertsteinich It's just a good mix of both really, some people find it easier to completely look away for a few of the minigames because of how much the game tries to distract people who are focusing entirely on visual cues. it wants to encourage sound cues to teach you how to find the rhythm, but visual cues help you follow along if that's still hard or get back on beat if you lose it.
you can play this game without sound as well as without video, it's just very well done
@@bertsteinich i would contest that, esp given that some games (plenty of the ones from fever come to mind) specifically punish you for doing so by making the visuals unhelpful if not downright misleading. lockstep is an example here (broadly, not for RT) - the visuals are going to be useless if not distracting. the only way to get through lockstep is from your own rhythm.

I'm genuinely surprised Dan touched Rhythm Heaven again after Monkey Watch.
Here's a few fun facts about the Megamix! I've sunk way too much time into this series and I need somewhere to dump this info.
- As you may have noticed, the "final" remix doesn't contain every minigame. However, if you include the left and right hand remixes (the previous 2 remixes before the final one), all the minigames present in Megamix are featured.
- Starting from 1:41:54, each game's main themes are mixed in, accompanied with minigames from the respective entry. Tengoku goes until 1:42:18 (although technically the previous 2 minigames before it were also from Tengoku), then DS goes until 1:42:46, Fever goes on until 1:43:11, and Megamix finishes it out.
- The baby coming out of the peach is in reference to the story of Momotaro, a baby who was found in a giant peach floating down the river by an elderly couple.
- Tsunku, the lead producer and composer for the RH series, unfortunately lost his voice due to laryngeal cancer. Before his surgery, the last recording he did for RH was for Sumo Brothers.
- The vocals for the honeybee remix (58:03) were actually done by Tsunku's daughter!
- Infuriatingly, the BPM for Cheer Readers is 124.
- Lockstep is objectively the best game in the series.
This is it for now but I'll probably add more if I can remember.
tsunku's daughter only sung in the Japanese audio im pretty sure, not the audio that we listened to here
@@ramcams The audio is the same in Japanese as it is in English, otherwise they probably would've just removed the vocals in the dub like they did for the Lush and Machine remixes

You know, he was doing so much better at the start. I wonder if, hear me out, the tutorials help when you don’t skip them
I legit don't understand why he rushed them all. He skipped half the minigames as well. As a RH fan, I'm super disappointed.
it's always the people that need tutorials the most that end up ignoring them.
I think he felt pressured to get through the game in one sitting-I saw that in the VOD of his RH Fever playthrough. He didn’t outright say it but he would spend the entire stream trying and trying and just getting crushed because he wasn’t breezing through it. Part of being a (good) musician is practicing until you get it.
@@stormcloudsabound but he did it in two
@@stormcloudsabound timotainment did it best. He took FOR-EVER to do it, and it was worth it because he did it great in the end.
RT you are such a TH-cam for the content warning for lockstep no one’s ever done that before and I spend a lot of rh content in fear it’ll show up and trigger a migraine. Absolutely baller of you man.
skill issue
@@luigifan4585 the skill issue caught me off guard ngl
As someone who's watched your rhythm heaven fever highlights way too many times, I appreciate this sequel
loving how rtgame keeps getting scores in the mid-seventies range, he truly is the most youtube rhythm heaven player of all time
He's an average man!
When I sometimes feel down or discouraged when I'm practicing, I remember this video and suddenly I don't feel as bad, thank you RT 😊
You keep saying that you don't have rhythm
But listen what you're doin' right there!
With that stylus and DS, and those buttons that you pressed
Rumble youve got rhythm to spare
He's really bad at rhythm please don't gaslight to be nice lol
@@internetguy7319 oh my god this is not gaslighting lmao
@@internetguy7319 it’s a joke from phineas and ferb….
@@ProblematicLovers I have no idea what you're talkin about he has as much rhythm as that chair...
This is truly a rhythm heaven moment
RTGame commented on my recent video I’m literally cryin 🥺
Rather it's rythem haven
*Rhythm Paradise since anyone in the British Isles are not allowed to go to heaven
my favorite part is when rumble rumble game says it has truly been a rhythm heaven/paradise mega mix
@@daily_ditto I heard heaven is some weird Japanese concept, from one of their religions. We wouldn’t get it.
I have a friend who’s a weeb, I’m gunna ask them what Heaven is. Id like to visit tbh
Oh my god, I only discovered RTGame a month or so ago through the original Rhythm Heaven video, and now I'm here for the sequel!
Honestly I think Dan would have an easier time with this if he was willing to try a given minigame more than once before giving up.
This has been edited, he could have done each minigame more than he showed.
@@Aira140No, some of them he literally just gave up, I watched the streams. Also, giving even 3 tries is ridiculous. Some of these he skipped are like 1 minute long. He loves the Dark Souls series, a game where people sometimes spend hours on the same 5 minute snippets of gameplay.
It's so pathetic! He tries once or twice, and if he doesn't like it, he just gives up!
@@superguy9834 Hey now, pathetic is kinda mean. I get the frustration (i am a percussionist and play drums, this was physically painful to watch) but at the end of the day he’s playing to have fun. Someone else said he may have wanted to do this in one stream so that could’ve been why he was rushing so much.
@@DecayOpossum But why? He spent like three months on a game he didn't even like all that much. Remember Detroit become human?
I...what kind of advice can you give for a game like this.
"Just follow the rhythm" is like saying "Don't get grabbed"
“Practice counting to four over and over again in your head, at a constant rate. Tapping your foot may help. Then do it to music. Then do it without music. You should now be able to pass 80% of the minigames in Rhythm Heaven: Megamix.”
Rt if it makes you feel better actual musicians bop their head to the beat while performing. If you watch an orchestra you can see them do it
Lots of people physically move to keep the tempo in their heads. Such as tapping your foot, bopping your head, or tapping your finger.
Yeah, especially when we have long periods of time when we don’t play
The sequel we didn't know we needed
RTGame commented on my recent video I’m literally cryin 🥺
speak for yourself, i knew i needed this 😂
Ya know, I still stand by the assertion that his rhythm isn’t terrible. He just rushes like crazy. A lot could be fixed if he laid back a bit on the tempo. Though, he’d need to consciously do that consecutively since he snowballs hard when given consecutive note patterns (ie counting out quarter or eighth beats)
I find it absolutely hilarious that the game he is the best at (lumBearjack and lumBearjack 2) are one of the few games where you NEED visual cues to beat it.
I know this comment is 11 months old but you actually don't, you can listen to the bear's chops I believe
The screaming one honestly had me crying lol, it so random. Watching RT play a rhythm game will always be stressful but hilarious at the same time
RTGame is the only youtuber who's content I can watch for hours on end. Like, I literally can't sit through an hour or more of content of any other youtuber, but I watched RT's whole Persona playthrough, and all of this too.
This game brings my so much nostalgia, and seeing my favourite fellow irish streamer playing it is such a TH-cam moment
I love that this, of all games, is the game that brings out Dan's Kubrick stare
You should play Nefarious; it's an indie platformer where you play as the bad guy, kidnapping princesses and pummeling heroes. And the writing is just phenomenal. The creator is even making a comic series as a sequel, as well as some music videos. "The Bad Guy's Gonna Win" and "Good at Being Bad" are real bangers. It's criminal how under the radar the game is.
If you want to recommend a game throw it in the game recommendations channel in his discord! He reads through all of them there
@@AinuLaire he has a discord?

Thank you for using the thumbnail that you did. The Polar Bear innuendo with the "Nekos" in the woods is my favorite minigame
Okay, but the final version? The bear hitting the "peach" with his "axe" 🤨💀
@@panickedanddistressed-ge8mv _splitting_ the peach. Which makes it so much better 😂
I'm only 14m in and I'm genuinely so impressed with how much your internal rhythm clock has improved since the last game.
