Harmincegy éve rendeztem ezt az előadást, sőt a TV felvételt is én vezettem...Most ennyi idő után megrendítő élmény volt újra találkoznom a nagyszerű szólistálkkal, a remek kórussal, és a csodálatos Gardelli lelkével....Köszönet ma is mindenkinek...Kerényi Miklós Gábor

Why is this opera not performed more often? The extracts I have seen and heard are magnificent. This performance in particular.
Rossini è un grande, ma senza dubbio ci sarà stato QUALCUNO più grande di LUI 5:27 a suggerirgliela, troppo celestiale, non mi stanco mai di ascoltarla

Thank you very much! I discovered Mose few time ago and it's wonderfull. If you have the complete performance, please post it here: Gardelli is a very good and underrated conductor and the magyar school of singing a very fine one.
I loved to work together with maestro Gardelli in Mosé . It was a fantastic job of my career. I try to post the whole performance , I have. I m an operasinger and although I teach . Sending my kind regards !
Oh yes it's you, I din't realize sorry. You sang a beautifull Gilda with the great Lajos Miller and Janos Nagy! I've seen once also a part of a concert version of I puritani where you were also very good. I'll watch carefully your channel in order find other marvellous thing you did. Best regards

It's so utterly absurd to constantly hear that "Il Barbiere di Siviglia" of Gioacchino Rossini was the only worthwhile opera in his "repertoire".
Exucuse Me. I could list 30 other nagnificent works but I'll name just a few other stellar Rossini operas: SEMIRAMIDE; L'ITALIANA in ALGERI; LA CENERETOLA; LA GAZZA LADRA; GUGLIELMO TELL; IL TURCO IN ITALIA; LA PIETRA DEL PARAGONE; MOSE IN EGITTO; ELISABETTA, REGINA D'INGHILTERRA; ARMIDA; LE COMTE ORY; ADELAIDE DI BORGOGNA; his first "TORVALDO E DORLISKA"; TANCREDI; one of my all time favourites ERMIONE based on Jean Racine's 17th Century "Andromaque"; LA DONNA DEL LAGO based on Sir Walter Scott's Great Romantic Epic Poem; IL SIGNOR BRUSCHINO; L'OCCASIONE FA IL LADRO; the 1818 RICCIARDO E ZORAIDE; MAOMETTO SECONDO; LE SIEGE DE CORINTH; MATILDE DI SHABRAN (wow); ZELMIRA; BIANCA E FALIERO; the very great IL VIAGGIO A REIMS; not to mention his oratorio style in STABAT MATER; later in life LA PETITE MESSE SOLENNELLE and let's not forget "Sins of My Old Age" -I Peccati...... and on I could go...... So get it out of your head that Rossini was a one opera composer. He was not though he retired very young in 1830 and wrote almost nothing till his death some 30+ years later.
