I thought that was stupid. The trailer should be able to hold up on its own, not resort to including a very popular hit song in it. You could add that song, or a song like it, to any old trailer. It shouldn't improve the trailer any. It's not like the developers wrote and performed the track. Cheap and lazy addition.
Hoping that this'll turn out to be one of those franchise turnarounds that ends up being better than previous game in every concealable way. The artwork in this is already leagues better than the previous LOTF game which is a great start.

I know it's confusing, but this game is not made by the Surge people (Deck13). The rights to the franchise are held by the publisher CI Games and they have teamed up with the new studio HEXWORKS who are developing the game.
The people who make the Surge games didn't involved with this game apparently. Instead they now working on Atlas Fallen, which another new game (Soulslike) that also has been reveal

I loved the original. And I've played the Souls games. It was much more of an indy effort in comparison, but it was a pretty solid game even though it got a lot of hate.
I Really like Lords of the Fallen 2014. Rocking a tank with a two handed Greatsword imbued with fire and magic gauntlet. Gameplay is fun and challenging but not overly. Monsters are varied and well designed. The weapons and armor in Lords is phenomenal. FEI the Surge 1 and 2 by this crew are awesome games in the death-grind genre as well. Both being Sci-fi horror instead of medieval horror. I'm hoping Lords 2023 will be a major contender for best Action rpg of 2023. I like giving my money and support to the underdog developers so day 1 physical release purchase for me.

Not a reboot. This is The Lord's of the Fallen. It takes place in the same world but 1000 years later. Will have little to nothing to do with the original.
The Origin "Lords of the Fallen," came out about 8 YEARS AGO (October 28, 2014) . So there is at least potential for a large improvement over the original if this one is crafted well.

These dark games (demon souls, elder scrolls/rings, etc.) are really high in demand I see! These games probably also sell OLEDs the most for their dark settings. I tend to prefer brighter picture/games.
I'm getting Lords of the Fallen vibes given it is a remake of Lords of the Fallen. Which admittedly is a Soulslike game. Though I can't fathom why people forget the original Demons Souls, which was the start of the subgenre of action rpgs and literally spawned the Dark Souls series.

Though it’s a cinematic it’s still pretty cool which shows how much effort they’re putting into the game. Hopefully the next trailer will show some gameplay etc.

I remember playing this when the ps4 had almost no options in early release. Can't say I'd revisit it unless the concensus is much different.

That will likely be a buggy mess on release and riddled with microtransactions and season passes
that looks cool, now lets see how the gameplay looks. so far reminds me of Mortal Shell.
We can only hope, if it is anything like Mortal Shell and less like the 2014 version then it'll be amazing.
