Love how you sewed the scraps together to make a 3" + useable piece of fabric. I've sewn strips onto 6.5" fax rolls I was gifted. I can use that size or even cut them in half down the middle - lots of options available 🤩

This is a wonderful idea. I have sewed scrap strips to adding machine tape before. However, I have never seen it done this way before. Those strips made on adding machine tape would be another new way to sew Crazy quilt blocks. Your scrap fabric strips are beautiful. Thank you.

This is a great way to use up the smaller crumbs and strips. I usually work with 3 or 4 of my about 14” tapes at a time chaining them after I have put any of the smaller pieces together. Because I don’t have a project in mind and am just putting the scraps into manageable strips I usually don’t trim to three inches right then. I leave about a quarter of an inch on each side and trim away the excess material so they stack neatly. That way any shrinkage will be covered and any fraying from storage will not cause me to loose the three inches when I am ready to use them later on. I enjoy your videos thanks for sharing.

I've been enjoying your videos so much since I found them yesterday. I actually bought adding machine tape a year or so ago to do these strips...and there it sits, in my cabinet, where it went straight from the store. LOL Reckon it's time to get it out and FINALLY use it.

☀️ Happy to inspire you! Don't forget 1.8 stitch length or less to make tearing off a breeze! Put on a movie or some tunes and enjoy!

My favourite quilts are the crazy ones. I find it more relaxing and creative, I can just create what I want and at the end they look beautiful (at least for me they do 😊) . I really enjoy your creativity.

I do something similar but I use strips of interfacing instead...I also make sure to have a minimum of half inch on each side of the interfacing... controls the seams for assembly ..... . I hate pulling out paper .... Thanks for the video great to keep fabric out of the land fill.

I would have a few going at a time so I could chain piece strips to save time and get a couple tape strips done at a time. Saves time and thread.

This from a girl who adores scrap quilts-your beautiful premade blocks will be gorgeous if you leave them whole, then surround them with adding machine tape scraps, or some other variation

Use them as borders, as dashing, as the bars on churn dash blocks, alternate them w solid strips for a strippy kids quilt, make them around 10-12" and place them randomly in a solid color background so they look like sticks of color..... Basically any way you can use a jelly roll strip you can use an adding tape strip. So many possibilities!!

I do not buy rolls of till paper……I collect the used till paper from doing my weekly shop so am regularly making strips and sometimes join two papers worth together…..

Used wrapping paper works well too. If its super winkled, do a quick press w a dry iron. Cut strips to the size you want, and have fun! 🙂

I love scraps so much that about five years ago I bought five jinormus toast of scraps for. $ 200. Scraps ranged crumbs to small cuts less than 1 1/2 yards. The fabric has made at least 10 quilts and I still have scraps.
