Mic quality on s23ultra seems bad because the cheap case i used did not have proper cutouts for the additional mics on S23Ultra. Sorry for the confusion, guys.
That would explain these anomalies I've heard in other reviews over the years. Anyway I appreciate the unique insightfulness of your investigations in general, thanks!
Honestly I was a bit pissed at first but then I realized it was just you being cheap.. how can you spend thousands of dollars and then fail to get a good case for your expensive device??. If you can’t afford a good case for your device, then maybe you shouldn’t get it in the first place 😅😅 I’m just kidding though
I just find it quite stupid that they put two very different chips on the same phone depending on where they sell it. The snapdragon performs better in basically every possible scenario. I'm glad that at least with the s23 now comes with the same chip everywhere
What happened was - this is my theory, of course; Samsung used half of its costumer base as free testers for their hardware whilst they were developing, but didn't have the capacity to make their in-house chip as good as Qualcomm's Snapdragon and after however many years they decided it was better to stop doing it before they started to lose more money that they could afford to. I'm sure they'll bring back Exynos soon enough if they can figure it out.
Exynos performs better in other scenarios (e.g. most specifically photos for front facing and 10x). Also has about +10% battery vs Snapdragon. Don't get mad at me I'm just stating facts. I know people hate Exynos but I believe it's more emotional than fact based.
@@Innovate-pq9ci maybe that's true, but there are tons and tons of scenarios where the snapdragon variant is far far better than the exynos one. I've seen the snapdragon one process the same video over 2 times faster than the exynos one. And it's a know fact that the cpu and gpu of the snapdragon one is purely more powerful than the exynos one, and wins in most direct comparisons. there are some advantages like the ones you said but it still feels like a scam if you buy the exynos one because you're missing out on a lot more than you're really getting
Its quite amazing how good the 8k video is, i've seen many reviews on the phone and on each video i distinctly remember thinking the 8k video was even better than the 4k, sharper, more stable, no jitter, if it weren't for the file size i'd honestly record in 8k most of the time
Yes, finally, 8K is worth using; though stabilisation is inferior, for specific recordings, it is superior. Sadly at 600Mb per minute, sharing it is useless for 99% of the smartphone world, as sending this to friends or family would eat their data and fill their storage. So, still a gimmick for the majority but for pro-users an alternative for some scenarios.
This is what we needed! Many US users are saying "They're almost the same" - but for us Exynos owners, the cameras are much different. Crazy how similar both Snapdragon models look

8K is suitable for a video that does not need stabilisation but is still inferior when you have a fast-moving camera. The main negative is the 600Mb per minute that it eats, which for most of us, makes it unusable as a default video resolution.
Higher data need, only usable on one lens and no lens switching, worse stabilization, no hdr frame stacking, no devices to even display full 8k … theres many reasons why you are better off shooting in 4k.

Hello Golden Reviewer and readers, Thanks for the video, G.R.. I’ve been a user of Samsung Galaxy Note 1, Note 3, Note 4, Note 7 (not for long…), Galaxy S7 Edge, Note 9 512 Gb/12Gb Exynos, Note 10+ 512Gb/12Gb Exynos and S22 Ultra 1Tb/12Gb Exynos. I wish I hadn’t bought the S22 Ultra. Multitasking is poor due to multiple lags which I never experienced on my Note 10+, especially when the TV application is streaming. The camera performances are poor : as a teacher I need to scan pages from textbooks from time to time. The edges of pictures are blurry and the text is not sharp. The same goes for landscape pictures : blurry edges. Furthermore, all pictures I take at zoom 2x (main sensor) come out with a grid pattern that is clearly visible when zooming in the pictures, especially in the skies. Another issue I experienced last summer was the screen legibility under sunlight : I couldn't frame pictures as the screen was too dim. Not to mention the multiple bugs from some applications as well as the phone being slow switching from one application to another. As I had bought the phone from Samsung.fr, I sent them the device for repair (the closest repair centre would have been a two-hour drive) The service was poor as I never was able to follow the repairing process online. The fixing was also poor : not only did nothing change as to the phone’s way of operating but a thread got stuck inside the periscope 10x zoom. Huge disappointment for a Samsung user since 2011. I’ve ordered the S23 Ultra 1Tb though because of the significant discount that was on until 16 February made the phone at a three-digit price and also because I didn’t see any blurry pictures on the S23 Ultra I had the opportunity to put my hands on. Moreover, I’ve had enough of phone manufacturers making phones sporting wide focal lengths. I get the point : you can cram a lot of subjects into 24mm. But does that make the photo better ? Plus, the Vivo has 50mm and 90mm (only f/3.5 though) sensors that are also way better and bigger for taking pictures of landscapes than the Samsung’s tiny 3x telephoto sensor. In addition, between 3x zoom and 10x zoom, the picture is a crop from the tiny 3x telephoto sensor. As a result the pictures lack definition. Some say that Samsung’s processing is better than Vivo’s. That might be true… or not. But, let's suppose it was true, wouldn't that processing deserve bigger sensors ? Well, a phone is not only about the camera performance : there are also aspects to regard such as audio (loudspeakers, microphones, aptx…), android skin, usability, etc. But I’m not sure Samsung is doing better than Chinese manufacturers in these fields. If samsung calls this an upgrade then we shouldn't upgrade in 4 years so it would be worth it 🤣
I feel so ripped off, i bought all exynos over the years. No more in 2025 exynos will be back they say, so thats it my last samsung phone will be the s24 ultra.
Exynos will come back in the S24.

5:53 wow exynos is garbage so glad i finally got snapdragon in the wild west of the eu lol..
Qualcomm is so garbage that couldn't beat Exynos in zoom and HDR details
Exynos really is garbage. So glad there is chip parity this year
Exynos is really good, and nt gaarbage lik their competition
I prefer Exynos by far.
Impressive stabilization and colors with good details in the S23 Ultra !!!
B this also shows how backward the Exynos was 🫤
Not backward compared to the S22 Qualcomm in photography
