We have marble tables too in India. We use in household, restaurants, flooring, literally every where. We just take a wet cloth and wipe it off. Probably you should make the marble turn into smooth surface atleast by using sand paper/ polish it by machine. This way the marble doesn't stain and has a glossy clean texture.
