    This is a 75-min yin yoga class designed to work all areas of the body.
    A brief introduction to yin:
    - Postures are similar to some ‘yang’ asanas but held in a passive way over an extended period of time (usually between 3-5 mins).
    - Keep the muscles in the targeted area relaxed. We are not working on the muscles, but on the connective tissue of the body (deeper fascial network, tendons, ligaments, bones, joints).
    - In every posture find your edge (where you first feel a change in the tissue when coming into a posture), stay there in stillness (stillness of the body, the breath and the mind) and hold the posture for the whole duration.
    - Use props only when needed. Yin yoga is not about being comfortable and relaxed. We are seeking to stress the body (the targeted areas); this involves discomfort. Only make use of props to help you feel the stress in the targeted area, let gravity do the rest.
    The class is suitable for all levels of practitioners. Listen to your body carefully to decided how deep you want to go into a posture. Make the asanas work for you, use props where needed - make this your own yoga practice.
    I am only giving minimal verbal instructions. Most people like to listen to slow music as it helps them to dive even deeper into relaxation.

    Self-sensitivity. Developing awareness and thereby a feeling for oneself - for the body, thoughts and emotions - recognising one´s own needs and giving them space.
    Change of perspective. Instead of looking outwards, looking inwards - reviewing expectations (one´s own and those of others) - discovering what matters most in life.
    Self-love. Accepting oneself - getting in touch with one´s own life-themes - developing a loving attitude towards oneself and others.

    Thank you so much for this wonderful yin yoga class. Yin is my very favorite yoga practice. At 74 & a long time yogini, I find that this slow paced style of yoga is so helpful with increasing circulation & improving my flexibility. It is a more meditative approach to yoga which I really need especially during this stressful time with the coronavirus. Your class was just perfect!

    Lovely yin practice-- I get so much out of these longer sessions. Would you consider a yin practice that emphasizes side body, neck, upper back/body? Thank you for another peaceful class!
