Almost two years ago, I bought my 94 Dodge Roadtrek. Lots of rust, but she's coming along. These engines are work horses. I love seeing the vintage vans converted and back on the road.
We have a UK 1990 Autosleeper Legend, 2 ltr Ford Pinto, 5 speed box on a Transit chassis. Monocoque firbreglass body shell so no leaks! Gives 26 mpg and cruises at 60 mph. Love it.
It's my dream to have a camper van to my aesthetic but who can afford a new one? Honestly, a beat up transit, promaster, or sprinter are beyond expensive. Even if you buy a used one with 100K plus miles and beat up. But you can pick up a vintage van usually already with a layout and it's a lot cheaper to remodel unless you need to replace essential parts like the engine block. Plus a vintage vibe is always awesome.
I just bought a 1990 Dodge B250 Van. I'm looking for someone who can help me convert it but am only coming across modern van builds. I wonder if anyone can direct me to a business that will do custom for retro.
OH, I LOVE VINTAGE CAMPER VANS!!! 😍
They're so much cuter than the new ones.

That last one is not lived in or driven.
For me, if it’s not vintage I do not want it haha
They're nice, the only problem is the fuel consumption. If V8 are gas guzzlers by nature, just image a 3 speed automatic carburated engine
