      You’re so objectively wrong, some of the best AAA games ever where made in the last 5 years.
      Do you play games to have fun or do you play games to reward companies ? If a companies make a great game what’s the point of not rewarding them by buying a game ?
      Players only pay for games, if you don’t pre-order there is no reason you should get screwed by a company, you can even refund most AAA games after hours of playtime if you don’t like them.
      It seems you’re a boomer who only like old games and can’t accept that masterpiece are being made every year by Aaa studios.
      Just this year we have: RE4R, TOTK, Armored Core 6, Baldur’s gate 3, FF16 and Starfield

    • @Lethal_Spoon
      @Lethal_Spoon ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ni9274 re4r is a remaster, totk is more of the same, baldur's gate 3 is an indie game, ff16 is more of the same, and starfield is bethesda. you could only cough up 6 AAA games, 3 of which were more of the same and one wasn't even AAA. that leaves you with armored core 6 and starfield. compare this to 2007 which easily had 20+ good AAA games.
      people aren't "boomers who only like old games" that "can't accept that masterpieces are being made every year," people miss when you had more than 2 semi-passable AAA games. you're just another anime pfp slinging around your awful, uninformed opinion.

    You know companies wouldn't have to send apologies constantly if they properly tested their game. Is it really that hard to at least have it in a mostly complete state? Sonic Adventure is a great game and also a buggy one but it is stable enough to be enjoyable. Did Bugthesda have to send out any apologies (Maybe for Fallout 76)? I only expected Gollum to be mediocre, not worst game of the year. Sorry. EA is an evil company for a reason. CD Projekt Red is a small studio? They made huge 100+ hour games.
    I didn't have a problem with Jedi Survivor but I also didn't get it on PC. Just release the damn game when it's actually complete. I don't think that was the exact quote. Playstation is definitely a better console than XBox.
    That's quite big. That's what she said! A lot of Indie games are better. I played Bloodstained and enjoy it. I can even mod the PC version. Konami isn't making a proper Castlevania game anymore are they?

    Nintendo has pressure to deliver. They only make games and they have to hit or they're done.
    Sony and Microsoft do other things alongside gaming so their strategy is always led by the marketing and financial departments cause they can afford it. Fun isnt even in the building with them.
    "Indie" carries stygma, and when they're being looked at for awards aaa games win, they shouldn't be called indie like its some kind of insult. I know indie by the literal sense but the aaa makers dont.
    Indie devs have the same thing nintendo does, a pressure to deliver fun games. Ubisoft doesnt. You're rewared for delivering financial unicorns.

    Also, just stop giving developers a pass for their mistakes. Fromsoft is the perfect example of this. They have developed a community and reputation that any mistake found in their game just makes the game ''hard''. And their games are ''hard but fair'' and require ''skill''. Yeah, no. That is not true. There is a LOT of BS in their games that gets glossed over. Fighting a big boss (fire giant), big boss who moves fast (gargoyles), boss who teleports out of your view (astel), boss who is lanky and hard to hit (death rite bird), etc.? The camera and FOV are your biggest enemies making these bosses unnecessarily harder. Wouldn't be an issue in a slower paced RPG or non combat oriented game, but thats not the case here.
    There are better skill based games like trackmania, distance, doom, sim's, etc. where you generally aren't limited by technical hurdles. And I'm sure there's more examples. Now, sure fromsoft's ER is an open world. HOWEVER, just because of that they cannot make it be this bad.
    I do wonder what would people say if ID software released doom eternal without an FOV slider, 60fps cap, shitty camera, lackluster optimization (no upscaling option, not even FSR was added at the very least in ER), make certain commands unnecessarily harder to execute (like 2H weapon, no option to bind sprint and dodge to another key), etc. And they did that for 4 games (ds1, ds2, ds3, ER). Is fromsoft exempt from this? Why not try to improve these issues?
    Thats just the technical aspect I've mentioned mostly. And no, you CAN have great games with innovative and fresh gameplay like mirror's edge, distance, portal, etc. They all look and run well.
    When people praised CDPR to the ends of the earth, overlooking their mistakes like the visual downgrade for witcher 3 and justifying it with ''it looks great already'', these companies probably learned if they make good games, they can get away with BS.
    My point is, fairly criticize even the best dev's. Otherwise what will they learn? Good games let them get away with BS?

    • @ni9274
      @ni9274 ปีที่แล้ว

      All the « bs » you said was in Elden Ring wasn’t actually in Elden Ring, that’s the problem with people like you who assume something is BS only cause you don’t understand it.
      There is absolutely no problem having a big boss who move fast, there is no universal rule that say a big boss shouldn’t be fast, and even then fire giant isn’t really that fact considering you have torrent.
      What’s the problem with Astel teleporting out of view ? You can move your camera and the sound will tell you where he is.
      Death rite bird isn’t tanky, you just need to use holy damage, he’s not particularly hard to hit either, you need to aim for the head and stay in front.
      The camera is your biggest enemy if you rely on the lock-on, if you learn to use the camera without lock on to track fast enemies then it won’t be a problem.
      Also practically every third person games with player controlled camera have camera problems.
      Elden Ring is a third person games, I don’t see why you would need an FOV slider when the FOV is already fairly high.
      Fromsoft games aren’t meant to be the most « skilled based games », they’re meant to be multiple things: challenging, have good RPG elements, have good build variety, have good storytelling, good level design, good bosses , and they succeed in this.
      I think you heavily exaggerating Elden Ring issues, the game is far from perfect but it’s also far from being « bad » or « unfair ».
      Baldur’s Gate is a good example of a game that release with some missing QOL features but is still loved by the community, if a game is great then people will care less about the issues it has.
      Fromsoft is improving on these issues, the game they just released has 120fps, ultra wide support, HDR support, and run extremely good on the majority of PC, it’s so good that it doesn’t need any upscaling option.
      Why would I want to complain if a company made a great game ? You can point out problems without acting like a brat and calling it « bullshit ».

    • @siyzerix
      @siyzerix ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ni9274 A lot of these problems regarding longer and longer combo's, spamming attacks, etc. have been grieved by many players. Including the camera's. Several 3rd person games include an FOV slider, ability to zoom out, etc. And oh wow, only after the 6th game on PC did fromsoft decide to bring an FOV slider and higher FPS caps. That itself adds artifical difficulty to the large bosses. Ever since I modded in an FOV slider and zoomed out the camera further these bosses became a lot more managable as I could finally see what they were doing.
      I said the deathrite bird is lanky, has a bit smaller hit box and tends to move back quite a bit. Bit of a chore to smack him. I already beat him with a colossal sword with holy damage and stance breaking him.
      So, if as you say fromsoft game's aren't meant to be the most skill based games, why is it always ''skill'' issue brought up when posing any criticism towards fromsoft? They are hard, but not really fair. Afterall, most challenging games have skill involved, thats where the challenge comes from. If not, then the challenge doesn't feel great.
      Why give a company who makes a great game a pass for faults in their games?
      You do sound like the folks who would defend everything fromsoft does.

      @@ThisChannelIsAbandoned300 I’m glad you enjoyed it, but I got bored almost immediately. Just felt like the exactly same game, same concept, same everything with small new editions. Shrines, main bosses, locations, everything was basically the same but done slightly different. Shrines are so overdone, bosses are in the same exact areas as before and basically the same concept for every boss. Nothing felt new or different. They just rewrote the same BOTW story and changed a couple of things but left everything else the same.
      Glad you like it, but just wasn’t for me
