You know Nikki .... I've had several in person guitar instructors. Each "" in person"" instructor had their own style of course , but it Always seemed like there was something that was very limiting to their method. Amber's methods a VERY results oriented ... I find it very effective in getting going at a very successful pace .... if that makes sense . This lesson is quite literally jam packed with important details. I went back and watched it twice before going through the lesson with my guitar in hand. I literally made some notes on paper to reference . So So much value and success to be had on Amber's course and channel here .

I think it would be useful for us beginners to mention that the chord changes for the chorus would be easier if you fingered the A chord with the index finger on the G string. That way the index finger stays on the G string all the time as you move from A to D to E. Thanks for this lesson. Great as always.

The reason I'm commenting is because of the mahogany GS mini I'm on my second one as I gave my first one to a very needy person and I wanted to give them something good not something secondhand. If you're playing E major or dominant 7th whatever. You have the capo in the 2nd position which makes it a G# major or flat the 7th. So enharmoniçally G# is Aflat.. Which is what you would use. So Aflat is after Eflat in the circle of fourths. F to Bflat to Eflat to Aflat. So you really can play it without the capo if you know how to transpose.
@@randyjones280 yes, capo on the 2nd fret would technically make the E chord shape an F# chord. Honestly my channel is here for beginners who just know open chords and use a capo and want to sing and play their favourite songs. If you wanted to play this song using barre or power chords you can, but that's not what my focus is on. But I'm sure there are lots of other channels on TH-cam who cater for people interested in more theory-based learning😊

Amber is teaching beginners. I’m struggling, but have watched other videos and if I’m correct, this is F sharp major. The finger position in ‘E’ but I would assume Amber does not want to bog down beginners with this (caged system) info. It’s bad enough trying to learn 🙄😊

I think it would be useful for us beginners to mention that the chord changes for the chorus would be easier if you fingered the A chord with the index finger on the G string. That way the index finger stays on the G string all the time as you move from A to D to E.
