Not all markets in the US are the same. I live in SF bay area. Avg. home prices here are $1.5M or above. You have to pay mortgage insurance on top of your mortgage, if your down payment is less than 20%. Market is very competitive here. Every house gets multiple offers and you end up paying 100-200k more than asking to be able to get your offer accepted.
We are building a house in a ‘Neubaugebiet’. A lot of research and language skills are needed. But it is worth the hardwork. I know many people who bought new houses. It is a bit hard process but definitely doable.

Have to say prices sounds like it would be impossible to buy a house base on it salaries I hear. I don't even hear 100k for experienced people like 10 years. With 100k also both husband and wife working would be around 10 to 12 years minimum and will not be left with any much saving except home. Probably 150k would do a cut. Any idea which software roles can fetch that. Lead? Architect? Scrum master? Product owner?

In current situation with interest rates and with visa status.. 20% funds are expected by banks and on top notar + Makler comes to around 8% I think it depends on many factors. Price of the property and the risk bank has to take on you With 100% loan, the banks are on risk but it’s very less likely for everyone to get a 100% loan (IMHO)

Resume is the key. Please review it again to see it’s only 2-3 pages and try to be as clear as possible on the skillset and the experience you carry.. you can also use Europass to generate a resume. Try to customise the resume based on the position you are applying. All the best and keep in mind that things take time here. Try to find reference if there are any open positions with people you know. Indian FB groups are also helpful to ask if someone are aware of any openings in the area you are looking at.
