  • Remove rust with vinegar, polish the metal and etch the blade not to mention the stacked leather handle.

Love the etching. I've done several Estwing leather gripped tools. I glue the leather with ShoeGoo. Sand with a 2" stationary belt sander. Finish with lawyer, two coats. Come out pretty nice.

Sounds like you have a good system down. I'll have to remember that if I ever find the time to do another

I really love how you finish this off. Etching the blade was fantastic. I also love how you made the handle again. That was absolutely genius you saved yourself a lot of time by making that pipe oval instead of round. That's the kind of stuff I would never think of in a million years.
I always have something I do whenever I like someone's video. I most definitely give you a thumbs up and I also hit the subscribe button. I figured that's the least I can do when I like someone's video.
Look forward to seeing more from you.

A superb renovation for a hatchet that, at first glance, would have good for the trash, congratulations !!! Hello from France.

Stack leather and cut to shape with a razor after assembly 😊, nice job

That looks great!! Please invest in a lapel microphone it clips on your T-shirt. I could not hear what you were saying.

Yeah sorry. It's actually an error I made in the edit. Nothing too important anyway.

Te quedo muy bien el trabajo perooo, el mango hecho de piel quedo feo y mas el color. Deberias de haberlo hecho de madera y quedaria mejor y con mejor presentacion. Opinion para mejorar.

I use leather but finish with lacquer. Comes out with beautiful amber finish.

Is it even legal to own something with a blade in New York? You're gonna mess around and get raided.
