Perfect Restoration - Estwing Axe

- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 22 ม.ค. 2021
- I was sent this Estwing Axe a few years ago by a subscriber and recently uncovered it while moving some stuff about.
I usuals do upgrades but this time I decided to try and restore its It looks like it came straight from the factory, its not perfect as the leather case was rough and the bottom tab was really rusted but I wanted to try keep all the original parts.

@@DiesInEveryFilm brother you need to pick up this thing called a belt eraser. It's exactly what it sounds like a big stick of gum eraser. Beautiful outcome I love it.. wonderful job with the leather work.. edit. That looks exactly like the brand new models they sell at hardware stores..
@@mercuryrising9174 i have one mate, thanks for watching
@@DiesInEveryFilm good stuff. I honestly feel like this is the most amazing outcome of a old estwing boys hatchet I've seen yet..
Probably the best restoration of an Estwing leather gripped tools I've seen to date. I've done a lot of these and I try to get this same result.
One of the best restorations I’ve seen
Very kind mate, thank you
Its been 1 year since i watched this guy's videos, i am finnally back
Good stuff you should just subscribe to save the wait
Great stuff Mr.Pool.Chop chop chop !! Luv the handle. Chop chop chop !!
Thank you, glad to bring something a little different to you all
Damn bro! That's sick man! Great work and I am glad you added the decorative spacers in the handle to! Nice work from you friend in the U.S.
Cheers mate, I wanted to try get it as close to factory as I could mate.
I found an old rusty, leather handled, double bit hatchet in my shed the other day, that needs some TLC.
You've inspired me to give it a go mate. That's a banging looking hatchet. 👍
Ah cool mate, im glad I could help and great to know
Had my estwing axe now for 22 years and it never looked as good as that one does. Great work ATB Paul
That’s so cool man thank you
This is a good restoration. You respect the age of the object and make a
great job.
One suggestion: a coat of varnish or similar on the leather handle. A greeting from me and another from my dog.
Thanks mate, no varnish as thats what they do at the factory and it can ruin the leather thats why i oiled it to give it a better life.
Great job, mate. I used Estwing hardwall hammers in a previous life. Those stacked leather handles are awesome.
🇬🇧🙏🏻🇬🇧
I recently rehandled one myself mate, well happy with this one
Wow what a great job on the hatchet. Outside of the aged sheath it looks brand new. I call that a major win win lol
Most certainly mate thanks very much
Amazing job, man! 🪓👏😀
Thank you so much 😀
That's a dope Heartagram thumb tat.
Thanks mate, been a while since I listened

Friend, excellent Estwing Axe Restoration, my respect from Venezuela.💯👍👊🤘
Thanks mate im glad you like it
@@DiesInEveryFilm 👍💯👍
Love it mate, but one note. You should put in Feric for a week, and fire treat the leather, and use elves blood to seal the leather, and once it's out of the feric you should bath it in a crome bath at mordor. And then sharpen it on skyrm dragon bones. Also I'm level 100 in blacksmithing on skyrm, so I know what I'm talking about
Hahahahaha touche mate.
Thanks very much ill take that advice and use it on my next cast iron axe
Sweet. Awesome restoration, Onur. Stay safe and stay warm
Cheers mate, hope you have a good one
Wow that looks awesome 👏🏻

Great job guy. I have to say I really enjoyed watching you do this. I think this is the second video of your channel I have watched. Gotta new subscriber here, and proud of it. I love the humor, what ever you do don’t let it go away and become just another dry channel. Thank You and Greetings from West Texas, Land of Sun , Fun and Sand.😂

Nice Job!!
Thank you! Cheers!
It was a super nice touch that you bought NEW Estwing tags and re-applied them!!
See ya SQQN Buddy!!
Sent from Casey, ILLINOIS, home of the World’s Largest Golf TEE!! Google it. It weighed 3300 OR 3800 pounds and is nearly as long as a semi- trailer. It is located at the Casey Country Club. If you have Google Earth, re-Google it and you will EASILY find it. PLUS you will also find the shadow on the ground as well. This golf tee is about a 3 or 4 minute trip from our back door!!
ENJOY the hunt!! LOL!!
Awesome work, by the way.
You should take it to the store and try to exchange it and see if they notice the difference 🤣🤣
