What an awesome tour!!! The trees are amazing....the commitment of decades of work to create all these different sizes and habits from the original version. Even here in zone 4/5 I could see some specimens I'd love love love to have!
a great tour - thanks to Roby and Iseli for sharing this glorious garden with us all !!! I always know when I see the Iseli tag it's gonna be a quality plant - even way over here on the other side in Atlanta, Georgia !!!! 😁
Good morning Janey and Roby! OMG Did I hear 👂 the words heat and humidity in the same sentence? 😮 I garden in zone 9b Texas Gulf Coast in a small gardening areas, with high heat and humidity 🥵 20+ years?? Although I can't grow Pendua OH MY WORD how STUNNING is that 😍 I love all things weeping . Thank you for sharing this. I remember Jim Putnam going there last year.
Janey, thank you and Roby for this stunning tour ! I purchased the Iseli Nursery Dwarf Hinoki Cyprus a couple of years ago. It is so cute as it borders my PW Tuff stuff , Gatsby Star and Let’s Dance Blue Jangles hydrangeas. It definitely adds much needed winter interest in that type of garden. USDA equivalent zone 5.🥰🌳🇨🇦
I'm in zone 9A and this video was a dream come true! planting conifers in my garden was a no no from garden centers here in Texas👎, now I can start looking for some of them and make my alpine garden that I always was looking for to have it 🥰 Thanks Janey 🙌
The Japanese maples are stunning! Wow! I didn’t used to be a conifer fan, but about 5-6 years ago I started adding some to my garden and have come to appreciate the form they add to a landscape. Fun tour. 👍🏼😊
It was great seeing mature conifers to get an idea of what it will do in your garden. Makes you think before purchasing and placing one on your property. I know the tag let’s you know the size but until you see the mature specimen it really doesn’t register in your head!🤣
Thank you for this Janey❣️ I was totally researching the conifers in Claudia’s garden yesterday, to see if they would work well here. I am so glad you have this video for trees in warm humid and warm dry zones. It’s so good to know that they need lots of mulch and acidic fertilizer to be happy in my area.❣️
What a beautiful site! I'm lucky that conifers are happy in my zone 7b garden, and I've added conifers for winter interest. There are so many great options in this tour! ❤️ I have dwarf varieties and control the size by trimming the candles by at least half every spring. I have a dwarf picea orientalis that's a weeping variety that is covered in tiny bright magenta cones in spring.
I got a "Fireglow "Japanese maple from them a few months at an Armstrong Garden Center (zone 10b). I was wondering what this nursery was since we mostly get them from Monrovia. Thanks.
I love this place, and I really appreciate you both highlighting cultivars that will work for both heat situations.😀
Wow this has got to be my favorite video of yours. Who knew there were so many different trees which so much character! Thankyou so much Janey
Inspirational garden 😊
This nursery is amazing❤❤

Love the tour Janey very interesting and informative, that is an awesome place, thank you so much for taking us along loved it👍👍👍
Everything is absolutely Beautiful Roby , Wow how can Janey top this video 😮
Thank you so much for sharing this tour. I'm a HUGE fan of conifers but they are hard to find in Texas humidity.
Beautiful. I bet you got some great ideas. Can’t wait to see what you do.
Bravo!!! Bravo!!!👍👍👍👍
Thank you for the great content you've been giving your viewers !
im in zone 9b. the one addition i must have is a small, dense forest of conifers (that are 6 to 20 feet tall) like in a meditation circle
Hi, I love that nursery. Iseli. I think a couple of letters got scrambled in the name in the beginning of the video. 😀 Thanks for the video.
Janey, this was such a treat! Roby was amazing….I hope Robbie doesn’t get jealous 😜
I got a "Fireglow "Japanese maple from them a few months at an Armstrong Garden Center (zone 10b). I was wondering what this nursery was since we mostly get them from Monrovia. Thanks.
The biggest reasons to plant redwoods IMHO is because it can provide color (gold conifers available) has sensational fall color AND is wet tolerant
Making a list of the humidity tolerant plants for Florida 10a!
Arizona Cypress does well in NW Florida but needs a neutral pH . Use lime. Japanese Maple also good but often a understory tree in its native lands???
Loved the tour, such beautifull trees. What is the name of that tree behind him at the end of the video that shapes like an umbrella.
❤❤❤❤
Off subject...will you be visiting Laura/Garden Answer while you're in Oregon???
Laura lives on the other side of state on the Idaho border, boring is near the coast.
My husband name is Roby and he pronounces it “Robbie”.
Gorgeous!
