If anyone is wondering he finish of a 5/9 score (4W-2D-3L) including a respectable 0-2-1 record vs titled players, and going undefeated vs all opponent below 2000 elo. Pretty good!
Yeah it's his first tourney in a while. He can make a career out of this, he's really good!

Incredible that you played that entire sequence in the last game of the tournament with such little time left. What a finish!
To be honest Zach, you should probably try and figure out a way to get in spend less time calculating because you getting in extreme time pressure is a common theme I've seen in these videos.
I was thinking the same while watching these recaps but i think its worth it in the end, have you seen this combinations of his

Why taking with Rook the knight is bad, yea you lose the queen but win rook and left Q&B vs R2BK plus some pawns the stock fish show that it better for black

In my mind it is simply losing for black as I was calculating it. Though you are right it is black’s best resource at that point in the game and sacking the queen is the only hope!

It's not his first try. He had a 1871 standard rating coming into this tournament. Around 100 rated games if I'm not mistaken yepp. I would say, he definitely considered it a success seeing how excited he is to share what he learned from the games much more than their results alone.

eval bar isn't very accurate when it is not in high depth. it often gets it wrong when great or brilliant moves are involved
