- Just to clarify, ticketmaster was not the website that scammed me, they are the ones that had the presales and sales of the official tickets!

You can get this cancelled, if you have the text from the bank that says that the transaction hasnt gone through and to try again then you have proof the first transaction did not go through, they cannot deny the physical proof, also check the time that you got the text and the time the money was removed from your account, it sounds like they tried to take the money a second time after you said it was you which was at a later time than the text - they cannot do that, if the bank rejected the first attempt as they werent sure it was you then you have to put the order through again and you did not do that. Please do not give up, fight this because you are in the right and they owe you a refund, contact consumer advice bureau.

Please don't give up Soph! Call your bank again and let your anger fuel you in getting the money back. Makes absolutely no sense to me that your bank would just let that money go out after sending the follow up text saying you had to try again in 10 minutes - and you didn't.
Spaceysno1girl I agree. Your bank should have cancelled the payment when you spoke to them. Authorized or not.
Plus as these are not physical goods and the tickets are not printed then they cannot claim that they have prepared your order, plus the bank said to try again and they would allow the order to go through, i think this ticket service was very naughty and put the attempt to take the money through twice - that is not allowed x
You can go to the police about it, the bank has said it hasn’t gone through, which is THEIR fault, you authorised it but they said it hadn’t gone through so therefore they’re the ones in the wrong, the police can investigate it and if it’s a scam they can trace who’s responsible and charge them and you can try and get the money back through it, you worked for that money and they took it without your permission

I think you should still try again with your bank and make a complaint as they said to you that the payment had not gone through and yet it still did even through you said yes at the time. Hope you get something sorted xx

Your not complaining about something stupid, i'd complain to your bank if I was you, i'd explain it the way you have here because you clearly didn't authorise the transaction so thats your banks fault for authorising it when they'd clearly said it hadn't went through. I know it would be super annoying having to call the bank and complain to them (and keep doing it until they do something!) but I deffo think there in the wrong here.

Ticket buying is frustrating and overpriced- something needs to be done!!
you should get in touch with national trading standards or the citizens advice bureau, they can give you advice because you have rights when buying things online and stuff so they could shut the site down or something💜
complain to your bank! if they said it didn't go through then it shouldn't have taken the money and they should refund you surely

I got vamps tickets in 2014 and it was supposed to be on ticketmaster but it redirected to another site without us knowing and we ordered anyway, so the tickets were 3x the original price and the scary thing was that they were delivered at 4pm, the day before the night of the concert >_< I hope they come so you can resell X

I’m so sorry you had to go through that. I hope you can sort out the situation and have a cheaper tickets. And I hope you will have an amazing time with your friends there. I wish Tay bring her tour here. You’re still very lucky because I never went to any of her concerts. She didn’t even have 1989 tour here in Indonesia. Only red. So since this one is also a stadium tour I don’t think she’ll bring reputation here.

Hope the ticket situation works out for you! How frustrating! I got a credit card specifically for big purchases such as tickets, holidays, etc now, as long as you spend £100 of any purchase on it, you have a much stronger possibility of claiming money back when something goes wrong x
A danish tv show Kontant made an episode about concert ticket scamming with a focus on a specific website. I feel so sorry for you that this happened! it`s disgusting that this still happens.....

I bought tickets from Viagogo for the Anthony Joshua boxing match this year, they were only supposed to be £100 each and by the time I had paid the price had hiked up to £300 including fees for two! When the tickets actually arrived the original price was only £40, its such a scam!

I have a strong feeling this was Viagogo, because the exact same thing happened to me with a different artist! Literally everything you said i was like "yep that happened to me". They have on the site like "less than 5% of tickets left" and "39 other people viewing right now" and its so stressful. But were you sent your tickets through the post? Because this happened to me months and months ago and Im stressing because I still haven't received the tickets. I know you can't say who it was but if you could just please tell me if they sent the tickets through the post? ****so sorry i just carried on playing the end of the video, never mind ahaha****
Ellie May hey, I’ve bought tickets from viagogo before. Don’t stress about the fact the tickets haven’t arrived yet, that’s normal for any site you order tickets from. They don’t send them till at least a couple days before the event. Last year I ordered Shawn Mendes tickets from viagogo in October and I didn’t get the tickets till the end of May, (the concert was June 1st). It is normal when ordering any tickets which are a few months away or even the next year. I was stressing too at the time I didn’t have them , I contacted them and then I realised that it’s normal
Ellie May Viagogo are a fake site for ticket touts my sister got scammed of them when she went watching AC/DC luckily she managed to get her money back best place is ticketmaster

Hey Sophie I have had the exact problem! the website I went through was viagogo for Taylor Swift tickets and it seemed really sketchy that the tickets would only arrive 3 days before. Also I brought my tickets Christmas day and when I went to ticketmaster it said that they couldn't process my request so I went to this website. After I had payed the whole amount of money the next day they took out more money for a currency change and we contacted them and they said they couldn't refund me and I would have to re-sell them however the bank is trying to do something for me. If the bank cant do anything I am thinking of re-selling them, did you end u getting your money back? I need help please!
Soph! You need to phone the bank again! You can dispute the transaction but only once it's debited. I think that's what they meant when they said it's been authorised, if it's now actually left your account and isn't pending, you CAN dispute it. PLEASE phone the bank 🙂🙂

I think the company you're talking about is viagogo. they were investigated by bbc watchdog this summer and the camera crew went to their offices and the company werent even there and no one else in the building knew where viagogo is actually stationed. really hope you get this sorted because I've heard of so many people being scammed from these awful resalers xxx
cant believe this happened to you, taylor seoft is also my fav singer i have never seen her live and ive managed to get ticketmaster presale tickets for the saturday show in wembley so i do get where your frustration comes from because if this would have happened to me i would gave gone bonkers. also please note ticketmaster tickets also arrive 1 week before the show so that shouldn’t alarm you with your reseller
You have proof from the bank via text message so YES the bank can sort it out go into a branch where your banking and show them your proof.... (you should name and Shame the company so that it doesn’t happen to others)

You should check Stuart Camp Twitter, he is Ed Sheeran's manager and he's kinda fighting against secondary reseller who scam fans. His pinned tweet is about how to get your money back from the reseller! Don't give up, check it
I bought Shawn menses tickets from the website getmein and I was so confident about them but it was a week till the show and they didn't arrive, they finally arrived the day before the show( I had to go to a different country so if they didn't arrive the next day I would have been screwed cause with bought VIP and plane tickets etc) and it was only at the venue that in the back of my mind I was like if there are fake I've wasted I've £1000 to do this for nothing, luckily they were real and worked. The tickets were originally £60 each I bought them for £170 each. Like it was worth it but it feaked me out badly
I know exactly what website you're talking about. It happened to me where they have charged a ridiciolous price for booking fees. The I panicked even more because they haven't sent me a confirmation but took money out. Thankfully the tickets came in time... I will never use the site again though!

I know what it is like buying concert tickets. I wanted to go to Radio 1's Big weekend 2017 so on the day of the tickets being released I was waiting in the queue for half an hour. Literally I was shaking because I wanted to get the tickets so bad, luckily I did. People were told not to sell the tickets by BBC but they still did, I was thinking about buying tickets for the Saturday but I didn't because I didn't want them to be fake.
You need to stop apologising for everything, people who call you pathetic for being annoyed about something like this are just ridiculous 😂
That sounds more like your bank is at fault rather than the ticket website. The bank probably automatically retried the transaction rather than the ticket company because they wouldnt be able to do that.
