Wow, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the band at 7:15!! My mother's side of the family are all from the Nauvoo/Niota/Ft. Madison/Keokuk area. My sister and niece still live in that area (my sister lives in Nauvoo). Our family isn't a part of the LDS/Mormon faith, but when we were growing up, our upbringing included a few LDS families, so we were always very knowledgeable about the faith and beliefs of the Mormon/LDS. It's very beautiful and family centered. Lots to be admired about them!! I'm proud to have links to this wonderful little town on the Mississippi. It's certainly worth a trip there to explore history and a very charming slice of American culture and history. The people there are the friendliest, most helpful and good hearted that you will find in the entire United States. They are hard working, honest, down-to-earth and kind. The only place where people are as nice and friendly and hospitable is the South, and I say that because I was born and raised in Savannah, Ga..

Wasn’t the temple destroyed? Why are they calling it an historic building if it was completely rebuilt from the ground up?

It's not uncommon for historical buildings to be destroyed and rebuilt over time. Notre-Dame in Paris recently burned and is being rebuilt. The Nauvoo Temple was rebuilt from old original plans and even used some original materials.

Hey where can I find shots of the bronze statues of the pioneers of Nauvoo. The fact you missed that aspec leves be betwixed and buffuddled. I remember seeing them as a 4 year old and experiencing the mystical nature of such a place. Not saying it was haunted but you can say I experienced the spirit as I looked upon the statues. Maybe you are the answer perhaps as to why thier not in a single video that comes from my very precise search terms. Its all generic videos that arent interesting and pallidly bland. Great shots of the temple and foreground, thx for those, very serene.
