To be fair the turrets on the bombers do not compare to warships that are giant floating gun platforms covering each other and filling the sky with more flak and lead in one encounter than a B-17 gunner would do in their entire service. Way more difficult to successfully approach even an isolated ship covered in AAA.

Lots of others factors explain why he was better to be on a sherman than beeing in a tiger for exemple. And also the sherman is a lots better than a panther/pz4/tiger

A treat for sure! I remember watching this on History Channel's Dogfights. To say the Luftwaffe (Or at least, the remains of it after Bodenplatte) is desperate is a huge understatement because on the same week they were launching "Mistels" which was basically Fw-190s throwing Ju-88s as a glidebomb on Remagen bridge as a last-ditch attempt on halting the Allied Forces' advance on Berlin.
I had known personally a lot of members of Sonderkomando Elbe. It was very important for them that they are not titeled "Kamikaze. They saw a real live chance at there mission at 7th of April 1945.
Surprisingly, I know about this. There was a TV show called Dogfights, it was on History Channel, and it lasted 2 seasons. In season two, there was an episode called, "The Luftwaffe's Deadliest Mission", and it was about the Sonderkommando Elbe. It was pure desperation at that point. Turns out, one of the pilots interviewed, a German pilot named Klaus Hans, told why he joined the Sonderkommando Elbe. He said, "I saw the results of the allied bombing. There were dead women, dead children, and dead elderly, I had to do something." That quote has stuck with me, showing that the Allies were also monsters.
Massive respect to those German pilots, i don't know where someone could find enough courage to do such thing, i simply couldn't, also massive respect to those american pilots there.

Great video as always! I really like your animations. The models are a bit low quality and movement a little jerky at times, but you narrate with such enthusiasm that I get really immersed. I would like to point out one historical inaccuracy though. At 4:36 you said "from the mustang's eight heavy machine guns." I found this a little weird as most P-51's only had six. Now Mustangs were sometimes fitted with extra gun pods, but this was a very rare occurrence and were used exclusively for ground attack missions. There was a P-51 variant, the A-36, which did have eight machine guns but half of them were .30cals and it was also used primarily for ground attack roles. Now I'm not trying to bash on you, I enjoy your content very much. It was probably just a slip of the tongue that got missed in editing. Anyway keep up the quality content, and I look forward to your next video.
I don't know if kamikaze is the right word. The Japanese pilots NEVER intended on surviving. Their planes where even packed full of so much explosive that it slowed them down, the Sonderkommado Elbe didn't do that. Plus there limited training was primarily on how to hit the bombers in a way as to then fall out of theirs. The idea was to survive and do it again, theoretically. Also, Yarnhub. Please do a follow up video on the Sacktime B-24 Liberator. That planes story is far from over after being hit and I feel would make an incredible video.
Considering that the term simply means "Divine Wind," I'm not sure it's wrong to use it to describe this doctrine. Kamikaze pilots sometimes - rarely, though - managed to survive. And even here, the chances of survival were relatively low. The main difference, though, is that the Japanese typically used the tactic against ships, which made bailing practically impossible; the craft would be below the minimum safe height for parachuting. Plus, if after all that, the pilot did survive, he would likely be lost at sea or captured by Allies.
