i watched with my grandfather when I was young. We watched "The Rifleman", too. He would be more than 125 years old, now. Miss you much, Poppy! Hope that you are doing well.
Matt loved kitty that he would bring hell on earth to whoever dared to mess with her. Nothing they could do and no where to go that Matt wouldn't get them. All for her.
Good clip! Chester; What are we gonna do, Mr. Dillon? Matt; We're gonna kill 'em, Chester. Chester; From here? Just shoot 'em in cold blood? Matt; How do you want to do it? Chester; Shoot 'em! The criminals are dead! NOW, Kitty passes out! Classic!
You are right but in The Gunsmoke rule book it was considered not sporting. There are several episodes where that was discussed as being against the "rules" Something from the code of the West or something.
That Is NOT Killing In "Cold Blood". She Was Being Held Hostage Against Her Will. If Anything, It Was Self Defense For Someone Who Is Defenseless. Thank You.
You go Matt! He doesn't play when it comes to Kitty. That one episode where Kitty was raped and beat up then shot...Matt wanted to kill that guy but the deputies stopped him in the process
After that kitty got a lot tougher and now you can see why boy am I glad you got them both before they could get her Matt, although my heart jumped in my chest a little bit
The first time I saw this episode, this scene took me greatly by surprise. It is a perfectly logical and justified way to handle it, but heroes in westerns more typically let their "honor" get in the way of good sense. And Chester not having a good alternative.....Matt: "How do you wanna do it?" Chester: "*Long Pause*, Shoot 'em."
and thats how you diffuse a hostage situation matt dillon style
We never missed a episode of Gunsmoke and we still watch it on cable TV every day ❤

I been listening to the radio Gunsmoke while going to work. It’s on Audible if you have a prescription
Matt saved Kitty again and best of all: SHE FAINTED RIGHT ON CUE!🤣😂😅😆
I like the show the best when Chester was on it
they were really so much in love in between Amanda and James that the series is still so successful up to today's day. great love never end.
The greatest LOVE story ever told.

Matt rarely missed. 💥
Matt didn't miss. The first shot was not immediately fatal.
Matt didn't miss, some just take longer to fall.
Chester was so reliable.
Grew up watching Gunsmoke awesome show
Get them Matt
Kitty was a tough Woman, she would never have fainted.
Real Love for Miss Kitty from Matt and Chester
Best show ever
Watch 4 episodes a day
They had it coming!
In tough situations, I still ask myself, "What would Matt Dillon do?" Or Jack Burton.
Way to go Matt.

It's What Matt had to do to Save Kitty !
It took a lot to make Kitty faint!
That wasn't in cold blood. That's no different than a military or police sniper rescuing a hostage. No other choice.
You are right but in The Gunsmoke rule book it was considered not sporting. There are several episodes where that was discussed as being against the "rules" Something from the code of the West or something.
That was one of the radio scripts from the radio series. They re used them often.
They didn't get the memo: Never mess with miss Kitty

You got a better idea Chester? You tell him Matt

I believe you're talking about the episode with Jute Bonner

I thought it was a fantastic way to go about it too. Sometimes love gets in the way of honor or even rationalization.
That's my dawg
And after that…. Matt never was rewarded by Miss Kitty with her special talents!
Yes he was :)
@@Gunsmokepedia All those nightcaps when Matt plays with her "kitty"
