- 🎥 So for my first video, i thought i would give some useful tips on how to transfer to UP as it is one of the few unspoken ways of how to get into UP! 🕵♂Context: Hey guys, im a UPLB undergraduate students taking up Veterinary Medicine in the University of the Philippines -Los Banos! My channel will focus on my life and on how i plan to get through UPLB's VetMed Course. I hope you guys come along with me on the road to VetMed, and i hope you find appreciation for the course as much as i have during my stay in UPLB!

Hey guys, so good news! My college, CVM, just put out the requirements they need when shifting into CVM! here it is:
SHIFT TO DVM FROM OTHER UPLB UNITS
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Application letter addressed to the Dean, DR. JEZIE A. ACORDA of the College of Veterinary Medicine of his/her intention to shift to Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program, signed by the Student, Parent, Adviser, and the Department Chair/Unit Director of the present College.
2. True Copy of Grades (TCG) in all semesters enrolled
3. Certification of Good Moral Character
The deadline for filing applications for admission for First Semester 2020-2021 is on 11 June 2020.

oh my god this is so specific! lol im also attempting to start fresh in a diff school for cvm and then transfer to uplb! so it doesnt matter what subjects you take? do they have to be specific classes to cvm? do i have to be in cvm in this school so i could apply to cvm in uplb?

Hello! I'm from DLSU as well and I'm planning to transfer to UPD/LB for the next semester. May I ask how did they convert your grades from DLSU CGPA to UP GWA? What's the 1.5 UP GWA converted to DLSU CGPA? Thank you

Same I stayed in DLSU... Pero for 2 yrs because I kinda enjoyed my DLSU life.. But now im here hahaha
ahhh so i cant just transfer to UP and apply for med school after my pre med...
UP MED is one of the toughest to get into. They say u need to get 99% or above in NMAT. then pass the grueling interview. And u need to have a good academic standing in ur pre med course. And to think ur competing with other applicants for a limited slot who are probably the best of the best also.

HI! OMG I’m sorry this came so late, but regarding the info, I just asked politely on how to transfer, and the different requirements I needed for the transfer process! Like what government papers do I need (I.e. birth certificates) and what papers I needed from my current university~

Did you continue your second year in DLSU while waiting for the acceptance of your application? I already had 29 units for the first sem and I’m riding out this second one for the remaining units.

hey, thanks for watching the video! but to answer your Qs:
1) it took me around 2-3 weeks to process for the transfer but that was only after i had already finished my sem and gotten my required units, and...
2.) yes it will intervene with other school's starts, so you have to schedule and start the process for transferring while you're still in your current school, or alternatively take a LOA in your current school (though you should only do this if you have the required units to transfer).

Just wanna ask, I am currently enrolled in a certain school and want to transfer to UP Manila. It says that the minimum required gwa is 2.00. My gwa for this semester is 1 point something, but last semester, it is 2.5. I failed a certain subject last semester but I was able to retake it and passed it this semester. Is it still possible to transfer? or no? Hoping for your answer. Thank youuuuu

@Cristina Santos hello! Nung nag-message ako sa OUR last week about the status of my transfer application, sabi nila i-follow-up daw ulit sa admission by third week ng August. Pero na-forward na raw sa college (I applied sa CEAT) for evaluation and recommendation.

Kuya, may I ask. If you're a transfer student in UP meron ka pa bang babayaran na fees per semester? I'm also planning to shift on UPD next school year since I am incoming freshman this year and sad to say, I didn't take the UPCAT but I want to study in UP. So is there any tuition fees that need to be settled every semester?
Actually, one of the only fees you need to deal with is the the fees for paperwork and transferring! Even as a transfer student I was included in the free tuition, so most of the money goes to food and accommodations in LB 😊

I badly want to to transfer but I'm thinking the year that will be wasted if I transfer in UPD. Instead of becoming second year, I'll be back again from being a freshman.

Hmmm, I’m not quite sure about that, but in the case you weren’t accepted into UPD, you could try to apply for reconsideration into UPLB!

Sadly, the only units that UPLB credited was my NSTP. I was essentially a freshie again when I got into UPLB, so keep that in mind~

Hi! I didnt pass the upcat but im planning to transfer next year in UP, my course is BS in Accountancy and the total number of units that im taking in my school right now is only 23 but the total required units to transfer in UP is 33, do i need to take an additional 10 units to complete the required units in my current university right now?
Hello po, im planning to transfer din po in UP, yung units nyo po ba na 23 is isang sem lang? alam ko po every first sem lang tumatanggap ng transfers ang UP kaya if dalawang sem ang nacomplete mo, sobra na yung units sa req ng UP po.

Sadly, yes, more or less you become a freshman again, but the pro is, your still included in the free tuition fee of state universities!~
Yung pag se-send ba ng email, before or after ba magcollege sa ibang school?
Oh, the email to UP’s registrar should be done after you’ve gotten at least 33 units in your other university/college~

oh, as long as you fulfill the 33 ACADEMIC units!~ (so subjects like religion or PE won’t count )
