    We've made it to the Northern Territory!
    With only 2 weeks to explore the NT and the wet season quickly closing in on us, we knew we were in for a jam-packed roadtrip from Katherine to Darwin.
    We start things off in Katherine by experiencing some of what the NT is best known for: crocs, waterfalls and hot springs. We then take our caravan out to the Dundee Beach free camp and see why so many people claim the Northern Territory's sunsets to be the best in Australia. After an epic few days out at Dundee, we visit Litchfield National Park for 3 busy days of waterfalls, hikes and 4wding, all while trying to survive the heat. Finally, we make our way up to Darwin to enjoy our last few days in the NT before flying back home for a visit.
    We hope you enjoyed watching this episode and thanks so much for the support and kindness on our videos! We're on the trip of a lifetime as we travel Australia full-time so subscribe now to see the whole adventure.

    Hi Brad and Hayley, I was absolutely delighted to receive your calendar for Christmas. I know it sounds a bit weird however the hand written (from section) was a thrill even my hubby thought it cool. We have been watching your channel from the begging you guys are our favourite adventures. We are planning our big trip in a few years, we have a 9 year old puppy who would not enjoy the trip:( I hope to see you on the road one day, I'll probably give you both a big hug, as you feel like family. my warmest regards Mereyal.

    Wow such incredible landscape through this whole episode. How epic is the whole northern part of Aus. I just love my weekly reminder of how spectacular our country is. Also …. Brad “that’s not a knife, this is a knife”. Hayley “why are you saying that? “ 😂😂😂😂😂😂.

      Its so good, we are currently a long way from the NT right now and to look back on this video - it is kind of surreal that stuff is just a weeks drive from anywhere in Aus... Haha Patsy needs to brush up on a bit of her Paul Hogan history 🤣

    Top job! I’m slowly catching up on your episodes, one at a time.
    Your episodes are fantastic because they make me feel like I’m right there with you on your travels.
    That situation with the potential double booking sounds tricky. After speaking with them, it’s clear it wasn’t the case. If I were in your shoes, I would’ve backed into the spot as well, carried on with my day and sorted it out later.
    By the way, your drone work is incredible-flying through the archway rock formation was especially impressive! Nice swimming hole to cool off in at the end of the day as well. Looking forward to the next episode.

      Thanks tuning in & we appreciate the kind words! Always give people the benefit of the doubt, sometimes that does backfire 🤷 That archway shot was a bit of a mission! 😂

      @@our.australia.trip. Sorry, I think there might have been a misunderstanding. The decision to back into the spot wasn’t about being spiteful; it was a practical way to address the situation. It would have saved you the hassle of driving to find reception and then rebooking into a smaller space. Assuming that they weren’t going anytime soon.

    Sorry to see your experience in Florence falls. Booking campsites in advance on line in areas with no phone reception is the dumbest idea that national parks ever had, and that’s saying something!
    Some people have no regard for others. Great episode by the way 👍

    Hi Guys, just found you and wow what a great video and trip you are having, loved your trip to the NT and as a result it has seriously made me change my plans for next year, Cant wait. Very sad to hear and see the inconsiderate people who just stayed on your site. Its sad that people do what they like just as long as they are not inconvenienced . Keep up the great work and I look forward to watching more.

    Nice to see you stopped in at our current home town of Dundee beach, we are loving it here, but yet to see a croc in the ocean like you guys did and I have been out to that same tree with the swing that you camped at a few times.
    Our new pub here has just opened, not sure if it was open when you came through.

    Hi 👋
    I've just stumbled across your channel and enjoy the content so far 😊
    Can I ask how you store your plants in the caravan. I've bought the fusion-loc toothbrush holders to suction to the walls and fill them with water because I've heard you can't take soil across the borders

    • @our.australia.trip.
      @our.australia.trip.  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! We don’t have any real plants, when you cross into WA they make you throw out anything organic soil, fruit etc. crossing into WA twice in 2 years we haven’t bothered keeping real plants.

    • @our.australia.trip.
      @our.australia.trip.  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Gordo, no it hasn’t. It was something we considered pre trip but for the $$$$ we left it be. The only time it has been a pain was on the beach at Fraser Island in the soft stuff. Fish tailing all over the place on the run south at high tide. Still something I will consider when we over haul the rig as the offset rims is not something I feel comfortable doing considering the rear axle weights and legalities.

    Hi Guys, just wanted an honest question about going up to the west from Adelaideoff Road caravaning is new and the car is also. Spending 5 months going through to NT and looking at the path you have taken. Our question is now you have done this trip do you think we should miss anything you have done knowing we are new to this? We know a lot of people look exhausted when coming off gib do you think there is a better way to see it for us? Or maybe do it a better way? Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions. Merry Christmas from the Bennetts.

    • @our.australia.trip.
      @our.australia.trip.  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Louise, if you are hesitant about doing the GRR you can always bypass by going the Fitzroy Crossing way. That will take you past bungle bungles, lake argyle etc. The GRR and NT is exhausting, especially in the later months when its getting close to the wet season. Merry Christmas & all the best for the New Year! Safe travels 😀
